Is the icy grip of winter over?

Today was in the 30s, above freezing, and tomorrow it might actually rain! On top of feet of snow, that should be fun.
Anyway, it really feels like we might have turned a corner on the death grip of winter. I love the change in seasons, but this winter seemed harder than usual. A winter home in New Orleans is more than tempting.

So anyway, I went out for a nice jog today. The sun came out for a bit, so I tried to soak up some vitamin D before it went behind clouds. I also got up this morning and did an exercise DVD – I have a whole hour of cardio already under my belt for the day.

I notice with my GoWear fit that there are a lot of flat lines in it. Some of that I can’t help, as I do computer work and can’t up and move around during that time. I do, however, need to quit with the computer games at night and do something. Although until it gets warm enough, it has to be something inside – but I can only do so much in the way of DVDs, as I try to do 60 minutes a day – and squeeze in strength training on 4 of those days, so I’m not really inclined to do much more than that.
I also note with the GoWear fit that I need to try to get more sleep. Or better sleep. It shows the restlessness that I have sometimes, and tells me how efficient my sleep is. Last night it was 91% and a little less than 7 hours.

I don’t feel lazy, but maybe I am.

Oh, and stay tuned early next week – Finding Radiance will have its first Giveaway!! Woo Hoo!!

We’ve had a couple of days of nice weather too…in the 60’s!! But I know it’s not quite spring yet.

It’s supposed to rain here tomorrow too!! I’m hoping this near-freezing business sticks around 🙂

I know how you feel about not being very active during certain times of the day. It’s hard in the winter time! The only activities I do at home now are cooking and cleaning.

The weather was beautiful around here today (high 40’s) but I know it’s just a tease. We’ll probably be thrown back into the depths of winter by next week.

You certainly make that GoWear Fit sound interesting. I think I’d have a hard time not becoming obsessed with it.

We’ve both been around winter enough years to know that it’s probably just teasing us. The snow will melt, we’ll get happy with the warmth and then BAM! More snow and cold. I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic 🙂 (Sorry to be such a downer!)

The one thing I’ve discovered for me about gadgets and devices is that they make me feel guilty. Without them, I tend to feel good about what I’m doing, I feel good, I’m maintaining. Then I add a heart rate monitor or pedometer and it “tells” me I’m not doing enough, even though I feel like I am. Then I push myself to do more, and I don’t feel the love. So I have to get rid of the guilt. …sigh….maybe it’s just me.

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing last week. I do my 2-3 miles of cardio, some weights and DVDs and that’s about it these days. I’m thinking it’s time to go back to spinning, pilates, get a WiiFit or something.

That GoWear fit sounds pretty nifty, too. I hope you get better sleep this week and I’m looking forward to hearing all about your giveaway. Sounds fun!

65 degrees here but I doubt that winter is over, but it would not hurt my feelings if it was LOL. Sounds like you are getting some good feedback from the gowearfit!
