4-miler and food in bowls

I konked out early last night and didn’t see the end of the game, but I really needed sleep.  I actually got about 7.5 hours and that makes me super happy!   Today was a run day outdoors, so I ate breakfast first while I waited for the day to warm up some.  I cooked up some banana oats with PB and blueberry jam!  Yum!

I got some McCann’s quick cooking oats and those nutritional are the same as rolled oats.  Not sure why that is, but they cook quicker.  I love McCann’s, too – must be the Irish girl in me 😀

After working for a while and seeing the temp creep into the 40s, it was time to go out for a jog.  I don’t like waiting so long to shower, but I don’t want to do it twice in a day.

Distance:  4.22 miles

Time:  42:57

Pace:  10:11 per mile.

Felt pretty good and I was sweating profusely.  I can’t believe how much I sweat even in the 40s!  I just had a technical shirt and jacket on.  I’m a salty sweater, too.  (Sorry)

I had a fun lunch today.  We have packs of animal crackers and Teddy Grahams from Halloween, so I added some to my lunch – Everybody into the pool!

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin
  • 1 container of Chobani vanilla yogurt
  • Craisins
  • Teddy Grahams

Steady working today and was able to finish early!  Yay, love those days.  My afternoon snack was a latte and one of those granola bars.  While I was making my latte, someone stole my seat….

Dinner was a mix of pan sauteed broccoli, chicken, and a laughing cow cheese wedge.  Looks like butter, doesn’t it? 😯

I realized that all my meals were in a bowl today!

When I was cooking dinner, I grabbed the strawberries and found this:

1berry

Now you all know *I* wouldn’t put back 1 strawberry.  Good thing we had another pound in there 😀

Had a pretty good eating day today.  I did have some cashews and FSTG chips while cooking dinner.  The run made me extra hungry today.

Off to the airport tonight.  John’s mom is coming in for a very brief visit for the next couple of days.   Her flight gets in at 10 p.m.!

Question:  Are you a profuse sweater when you exercise?

Thanks for stopping by my blog and offering your 10 cents:)
I am an out of control sweater!! I sweat so much it’s embarassing!! But I always feel super good afterwards!!
Congratulations on your weight loss!! What an accomplishment!!! Keep it up and you ROCK!! 🙂

I always sweat a lot when I exercise, though it seems a lot more when I’m at the Y, then outside. (But if it’s hot outside, I’ll sweat just as much.) When I’m running, it gets almost embarrasing the amount of sweat that drips off my head!

Blueberry jam and peanut butter are two of my favourite oats toppings! Yumyum.

I don’t sweat at all during my outdoor runs, but the second I walk in the door it starts dripping off me! So strange.

I just noticed today when I was looking in the mirror just before my shower that I had dried sweat all over my cheeks…looked like I got caught in a salt storm.

I am just about a year into my journey and am excited to see someone who has persevered even when it takes a long time!

I sweat like crazy when I exercise – I had to get a headband because the sweat would run into my eyes and BURN! The headband is soaked through after every workout and sometimes I still get the burning eyes. Add two soaked sports bras, t-shirt and workout capris and I am a hot mess!

I am not a sweater, and I am glad of it! I have noticed, though, that when I start a new type of exercise, and it is intense, I will sweat a lot for a short while. Like when I joined Curves, or when Vicky made me do a really difficult circuit workout. I didn’t even sweat that much when I lived in Texas!

Oh Boy am I a sweater. In the summer it’s really bad even if I just stand there.
I was this way even at a much lower weight so it isn’t because I’m fat that this happens but I’m sure anyone looking at me would attribute it to that.

7.5 hours of sleep makes me envious. I wish I could sleep that long. *sigh* *yawn* 🙂

I love the teddy grahams in the bowl, cute lunch! McCann’s oatmeal is my favorite btw!

I sweat quite terrible. Also I’m very pale and have kind reddish undertones to my skin so I turn almost purple and look like I’m about to die when I work out!

I always feel so bad for the teddys! LOL

I have found that I don’t sweat A LOT, but my face turns super, super red and I get super hot. If I had a fan blowing in my face while I exercised I could go for so much longer.

Wow, do I ever sweat. I am like Shelley in needing to wear a headband to keep the sweat from my eyes. At least we can ALL be proud of our sweat because we are working for it! LOL.

Don’t you love being able to still run outside most days? We are having mild weather and the snow is staying away so I am taking advantage and getting outside for my runs.

The one strawberry. Looks familiar! LOL.

Don’t mind my shirt ignorance but, what exactly is a technical shirt?

Its so funny i can freezing my butt off when i walk out the door at 50 degrees but a mile down the road i’m sweating! I get red in the face too and i’m sure people think i’m dying. Oh well i like how i look and feel once i’m all done and had my shower. So i guess i’ll keep doing it again and again and again! LOL!

My back sweats unbelievably when I run, but other than that, I don’t really sweat. Could it be that i’m not pushing myself hard enough. Hmmm…

  13. Pubsgal

I sweat and turn alarming shades of red when I exercise heavily. (I did this when I was a youngster, too, so I know it’s “normal” for me.)

Hmmm…oatmeal with PB and jam? I hadn’t thought of that combo, but it sounds great! I usually use sugar-free maple syrup.

Hope you have a nice visit with your MIL!

Great blog and congrats on your weight-loss success! My husband would be the type to leave one strawberry in the container. It’s as if he’s trying to say, “see, aren’t I nice, I didn’t eat them ALL?” You cat is really pretty! 🙂
