Bloggy run day

It’s Sunday and back to work for me… sigh… The weekend goes all too fast.  We headed on down to Saratoga for a different bagel today.

It has such a nice atmosphere inside:

John and I both got the same banana nut bagel today with honey walnut cream cheese!

Got home and worked, worked, worked!  Really busy today (which is good).  Stopped for a quick lunch of a scrambled egg wrap with Laughing Cow and a plum.  These are starting to make a comeback in stores now!

Then I had a little dessert:

Worked a little more and then participated in the blogger run day by doing 3 miles!  It was so beautiful outside – 50 degrees and sunny.  The track was dry, so John came with to walk while I ran and take some action shots.  Still big snow piles everywhere, though:

Nice shot of me running away – don’t I look speedy?

Leave it to my husband to take a picture of my butt.  At least he didn’t zoom in….

Just passin’ by:

I have to admit that I just was not feeling this run at all.  I almost never run in the afternoon anymore, and my calves were complaining, which is really weird, but I think that was probably from biking yesterday.  It was a real slog getting through this.  But I finished!

I needed a pick-me-up after we got back, and this hit the spot!

Mmmmm…. lattelicious.

So an update.  The scale isn’t budging for me on my desire to go for 140, but my snacking has gotten bad again.  I really need to get serious and quit dinking around.  I am actually going to reduce my cardio a little bit, too, which will help with the snacking, I think.  I will have a running FAQ post up this week (I promise!).

Dinner was an old friend I haven’t had for a while – clam strips!  With some brussel sprouts and strawberries.  Tasty.

Done with work for the day and need to make a strength training workout for this week.  Back to lifting – yay!

I don’t watch the Oscars, but I guess those are on tonight.  The only movie I have seen in theaters in at least a year was The Princess and The Frog.  Can you believe that?  And the movie before that was Batman with Heath Ledger.

Question: Do you watch the Oscars?

I just watch the Red Carpet part 🙂

I need to quit the little bits here and there and my weight will go down. Just find 1 thing and see if it makes a difference. For me it’s creamer in the coffee…:(

The chairs at the bagel place look nice and comfy.

Nice job on the run. It was so nice here that my BF and I went to a park down by the lake and had a great walk!

Lately I have been eating antibiotic free pork and chicken and today my store had beef too! I had a steak tonight and it was great!!!

I don’t have cable so I don’t watch the Oscars. I do like to look at the dresses though and I can see them all on the net.

Clam strips speak to my Southern heart, but only if they aren’t super chewy. It’s so hard to find a good one!
I am currently watching 🙂 There’s some awesome, fluffy red dresses this year!

Yes, I love the Oscars, mostly for looking at the beautiful clothing. But no tv, so I am missing it this year.

What do you think about the concept of backing way off the exercise when you are concentrating on losing? Sometimes when I am really concentrating on eating clean and low, I will let up on the exercise a bit, and I still seem to lose weight. Its like I can’t concentrate on two hard things at the same time. Not explaining this exactly right. Do you know what I mean?

Thanks for posting the link on your last post (or was it the one before that?) to the Blogger Run Day. I hadn’t heard about it until I read it on here last night and because of seeing it mentioned here I did it today!

Love the pics! You coffees are always so fancy! 🙂 And your places so nice! Our coffee places are always filled with students & their laptops doing homework & such & hard for us to ever find a place to sit.. this is ALL the places around here & there are many!

On the snacking.. yup, those little things add up when you are trying to get clean with your eating & go for a goal. I am not so much on board with the cutting way back on exercise thing but to each their own. Ya got to find your right way for you. I always find a way to manipulate it to work but sometimes it just takes time to find that way.

Looks like you had a nice weekend. 🙂 Bike rides sound fun and are something I look forward to doing more of when we get adult bikes and my kids get bigger. We don’t live near any nice off-main-road trails right now. Have to find some…

i am not into the Oscars at all!

great run-you look so cute 🙂

yes cutting back on cardio helps with the sancking. sometimes i think too much exercise makes me eat so much that i put on weight! for me it is a balance…..

    have a great day!

It’s great to ‘see’ you running like that.

I’m glad you’re going to restructure your workouts and eating habits to try to achieve your goal. You are one committed woman!!!

Bahaha, I’m not much of a movie buff either. I have a hard time dedicating two hours of my life to something – I’m too anxious to get other things done! 😛

Love the action running shots! Those are always good to have on hand. We still have giant piles of snow like that too. It gets so gross this time of year :\

Haha you sure know balance…pairing the fried clams with fruits and veggies! I love that!
Oh, and I’m eating a bagel right now too…a Parmesan cheese bagel! 🙂

Look at you go! I love reading about your running adventures. I have always hated to run, but that could change. You never know.

I didn’t see the Oscars, I went to the movies and saw Avatar instead. I like watching them every few years or so.

Hope you have a good week!
