Boo!

Today was the last rest day before our home duathlon tomorrow!  We decided to have a bagel today since we wouldn’t be tomorrow.  Off to Panera by car.

I actually have 2 days off.  I took Sunday off from job 1, so I actually have a whole weekend!

We hit the grocery store (making it really feel like Sunday) and stocked up on some favorites for lunch!

Yogurt berry mash:

Without a bike ride today, we were free to explore whatever.  Stopped at a fall festival at a farm and tack shop.

$5 pumpkins!  They were enormous, so we bought a couple for carving.

Cuteness overload with some baby alpacas:

I wanted to hug both of them!

I asked John if he wanted to start an alpaca farm, but he said no.

We decided to head to the lake to get some coffee and do a little carb loading.

Pretty church off the main drag:

Stopped for a latte:

plus a maple cinnamon roll:

Then we stopped at one of those giant Halloween superstores.  It was almost like going to a haunted house for free!

And who doesn’t need some of this on hand?

Boo!

You could drop a mint decorating for Halloween!

Home for dinner.  Baked buffalo shrimp with brussels:

Nice relaxing day just doing stuff.  Don’t you like days like that? Going to get all my stuff ready for tomorrow’s ‘race.’  John and I decided to go ahead and go full out.  He will probably finish before I do, as he has the running speed.  I don’t think I can catch him during the bike ride.  I am actually going to wear my bib number from last year’s duathlon!

Snack time:

And some DVD watching of the Simpsons Treehouse of Terror to get in the Halloween mood!

Pink item of the day!  This is a bath fizzie shaped like a cupcake:

The baby alpacas are adorable!!! Love seeing baby animals like that.

Oh, and the Halloween decorating is insane! You are SO right – it would be easy to blow a bundle of cash on it…glad my kids are grown or I’d probably have an inflatable something on my lawn, lol!

Good luck on the “race” tomorrow – love that you and John are going all out!

What a great Saturday. Love it how much decorations you can buy for Halloween. We don’t celebrate that here.

About our garage: this is a normal size for a garage here. We don’t drive those big cars as some Americans do 🙂 We actually have two garages, the other one he restores old motorbikes in.

About the Angel perfume: if you look close you see it at the front. I have it and I love it too.
