Biking and bagels!

I was practically dancing around because it was warm enough to bike to bagels this morning!ย  Check out the happy lady ๐Ÿ˜€

It was mid to upper 40s, which was a pretty good temp for biking.ย  Not much wind in the early morning.ย  I was happy to settle in and have my coffee and sesame bagel!

I do believe that the bagel is one of my favorite foods… I know, shocker, right?

13 mile round trip for breakfast today.ย  Too bad the weather is turning colder again.ย  It was good while it lasted.ย  Might be chilly for the race this weekend ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Finished up job #1 for the week.ย  Yippee!ย  It was lunch time before I knew it.ย  I had some Bumblee Inspirations tuna for lunch.ย  Lemon pepper.ย  Normally I just make my own lemon pepper tuna, but…wait for it… I had a coupon LOL!

I had a closet find recently of some sandals.

I don’t think I have worn these since we moved here 4 years ago because they were in a bag in the closet.ย  Sweet.ย  These are Fakenstocks from Target, as I can’t afford the real thing.

This is a habit I picked up when I lived in Boulder – the socks and sandals thing.ย  I love doing this because it keeps my feet clean, my feet don’t get sweaty on the bottom, and I can wear sandals in cooler weather!ย  Some people say it is dorky, but I like it.

Afternoon snackage.

That is bread toasted with a little nutella and fluff.ย  I could eat both of those with a spoon in each hand…

Pubsgal sent me the pink pic of the day:

The Breast Cancer Site

Love it!

Leftovers for dinner.ย  Chicken rewind done buffalo style.

It never gets old.ย ย  I noticed while cooking that John is thawing out puff pastry.ย  This could be trouble tonight.

Having this because Ms. Snackington has come to visit:

Dinner and evening pictures are starting to get hard to take with fading light now!

Project Runway Finale tonight!

Question:ย  Socks with sandals?

Don’t wear sandals due to my VERY UGLY feet…. maybe I should try with socks but in southern CA, well… not weather like there!

Did you say bagels!!! I have not had one in a while. Need to get to my place for the pumpkin bagels! When do the Panera gingerbread ones start! Loved them once you turned me on to them! ๐Ÿ™‚

Does Ms. Snackington come out more during that time of the month…. just asking.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

For me, it depends on the sandal. For sporty sandals (Fakenstocks, Tevalikes), definitely. (I had these great tie-die socks that I’d wear with my fake Crocks.) Strappy, wear-with-a-cute-sundress sandals, I wouldn’t.

Glad you got a kick out of the pink moving truck! I thought it was pretty unique, too. (Although it doesn’t hold a candle to Pixie’s nose!)

Nope, Can’t go along with the whole socks and sandals thing, but I’m from the PNW and that’s how it’s done up there. One would never get to wear sandals otherwise ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m Ms. Snackington’s ugly step-sister these days. Oh my. I’m hoping this phase passes quickly!

Glad you got a weekday bike ride in – very cool.

Socks with sandals? Most of the year, the socks aren’t really necessary with sandals here in Texas, but I say they’re your feet, and you can dress them how you want to. (Though I agree with Jo – Better to avoid that combo with shorts.)

Lori!!!! (excited) When knitting socks was the ‘in thing’ about 10? years ago, all the handspinners and knitters knitted wild socks and HAD to have Birkenstocks to wear them with to show them off! I still have some of my socks, but sadly, no Birkenstocks.

Bagels is one of the places we are not twinsies. Cracks me up how much you like them, and I am not even tempted by them one bit.

I put flip flops on when I’m wearing socks when I need to walk outside real quickly, does that count? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m jealous that it was warm there today- it is super cold here!!

Socks with sandals? Inside: fine but outside? Definitely a no no.

I’ve had a bagel yesterday too, saw them in the store and bought them for lunch and of course I thought of you. You do that to me with bagels ๐Ÿ™‚ (also with cupcakes nowadays).

Socks with sandals? Oh no. But remember, I’m from California, and that just.isn’t.done. Nor is it cold enough to be necessary, lol!

Glad you got to sneak in another good bike ride for bagels! I don’t know how you manage to take pictures of your bagels; today (yesterday, really) I ran to Starbucks, got a coffee and bagel, and ate the entire thing before I remembered that I wanted to take a picture of it! Oops..

I wear my Birkenstocks with socks during the winter, in the house, when it’s really cold but all the rest of the year I wear flip flops at home. But only at home, never to go out.

I had dinner at Panera last night and have a hard time resisting their October Pink Ribbon Bagel (some yummy cranberry nut concoction shaped like the pink ribbon). Thankfully, they were out so I wasn’t even tempted. Went my my usual Asian Sesame Chicken Salad!

Can’t wear sandals because of ugly feet, but I echo someone else, “they’re your feet, go for it!”

Oh thank goodness! Another socks and sandals fan. My husband harasses me something awful when I wear that combo. I keep telling him – It’s socks, sandals and shorts that are a no-no. Not socks, sandals and jeans!

  13. JINX!

Ha! I pick on my hubby something awful about wearing socks with sandals. Its such a ‘no no’. But they look so cute on you….trust me! LOL! Hugs Lori! deb

oh my gosh I swear my ankle socks inside ALL my shoes…especially the office ones.

luckily my pants hide the fact mostly but it is so cold at my work I can’t stand it.

I’ve also begun just living in my sneakers all day long…no matter the outfit. they just feel so good.

    I hate being uncomfortable.

also, I ate a bagel this morning. don’t regret it one bit. (probably will later though! haha)

I have winter Birks and summer Birks. My Winter Birks have covered toes and open backs. It eliminates the sock/sandal dilemma. lol! Seriously they are the only shoes that don’t hurt my feet so I like to wear them year-round.
