I was working hard and got sweaty with this routine. I made sure I moved fast between exercises and rested for a minute max between sets. This routine took me 40 minutes.

Off to home and some protein waffles!

I have missed my blueberries recently. I was on a real oat kick last week and I don’t think I had any blueberries!

So speaking of sweaty workouts, I was contacted by Febreeze to see if I wanted to put their professional strength Laundry Odor Eliminator to the test.

Guess they read about how much I sweat LOL.  I will admit that even after washing, my workout clothes always have a bit of an undertone to them, for lack of a better word.  I tried other sports detergents and they didn’t really seem to help.  So, I was game since I like the regular Febreeze stuff.  Pile o’ stanky workout clothes:

This is an additive to your laundry, so you add it along with your regular detergent.  Since this was a laundry load of just my workout clothes from the week, I used the 1/2 cup recommended for heavy odors 😳 .  It has a very light fragrance to it, not as strong as a laundry detergent.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked!  My workout clothes smell fresh and clean now and like my regular detergent, only fresher, even upon close inspection!  The only downfall to this is the cost.  This bottle was about $9.50 for 1-1/2 quarts,  so it is something that I would only use for workout clothing and not for everyday laundry use.

The Febreeze people have offered 1 coupon for a free bottle of the Laundry Odor Eliminator to 2 of my readers. All you need to do is comment below with your worst laundry problem and I will use random.org to choose 2 people to receive the coupons.  Entry deadline will be Wednesday afternoon 12/24 at 5:00 pm EST.  So have at it!

Lunchtime was the rest of the chili I made last night.  Could it be possible that it was even better today?  I think so!

There wasn’t much left, though.  Served with some bread John made with Laughing Cow (I wish that was buttah on there!).

Afternoon break was the usual:

plus some snacking:

I am really, really hungry today.  What is up with that?  Not just snacky, but hungry.  So then I had more grapes.  Doing a no-added sugar day and I really wanted something chocolatey.  Not sure why both last week *and* this week’s NS days were so hard.  It’s not like I eat a ton of sugared things normally, either.  Not liking that part of my Hot 100 challenge any more (says inner 5 year old).

So, I had more grapes.

One job finished for the day, and the other job forgot to upload important documents with the files, so they can’t get done.  Maybe someone will do it later, but the clinics have closed, so I doubt it.

Dinner time was colorful!  I sauteed some brussels and had the last chicken sausage.

Evening snackage:

Tonight my Broncos take on the Chargers!  I get to watch the game because it is MNF!  Come on Broncos, don’t lay an egg!

Just curious, do you write down your workout routine and bring it with you to the gym? I can’t believe I’ve never asked this – I think I would have to, or else I’d be sure to leave something out.

Your chili looks so good. Can you make it without a pressure cooker?

I’m very interested in that laundry additive, as my workout clothes were practically standing on their own over the summer! I sweat so much, and couple that with the Texas heat and humidity…well, it’s not pretty and I actually wondered if I would have to throw some workout tops away before they are worn out because I can’t stand to wear them!

I have been doing Bikram yoga for the past several months. That’s yoga in a room that is heated to 105 and then brought to 40-60% humidity (depending on the day and teacher). I am a sweater (and not the kind you wear) to begin with so you can imagine what happens to me in that room! My workout clothes are hideous! I would love the opportunity to try this product out!

Chili almost always tastes better on the re-heat! Yum!

No need for an entry for me. I use plain old vinegar with my detergent, which seems to take care of the problem. (Or maybe it doesn’t and no one is telling me. I *have* noticed the gym being less populated these days. Huh. Maybe I’ll leave out the vinegar. :))

I do have Febreeze for my car, though, and I really like it!

I was wondering the same as Shelley. How do you decide what your workout will consist of?

I am not a big sweater but right now I am having problems getting the smell of baby puke out of my clothes. I babysit my granddaughter once a week and she nails me every time. LOL

I wish I could be in the free weight section of my gym alone for 15 minutes!

my worst laundry problem is that I have bad underarm odor and am allergic to most deodorant scents. it seems my shirts still smell like arm pit even after washing. ugh. That frebreeze stuff sounds interesting as its one scent that I can tolerate.

Count me in on your giveaway girl! I so know what you mean by stinky workout clothes! Especially when you’ve accumulated a week of them. Uuuugh! deb

The Febreze is interesting. My husband’s work clothes (yard work) always have a strong odor of exhaust from his old lawn tractor (he won’t get rid of it). Sometimes it’s hard to get rid of, even with washing–kind of a gassy smell (as in gasoline, that is).

I love chili and make a crock pot of it every Sunday. I alternate the meat I use–either coarse groud beef or leftover chicken. We then eat the chili during the following week–sometimes for lunch–and at least one more dinner. Like yours, it’s always better the next day.

Worst laundry problem? I’ve owned and/or raised dogs for 40 years. No need for more details…

Hmmm. I guess I don’t work out hard enough–no stinky workout clothes here LOL. Well, you know my aversion to sweating

My theory? When you’re that hungry, something’s at work in your body, you are burning more energy, and you NEED to eat more.

Congratulation on your weight lost and look at those sets of exercise routine you have, what a determination, keep up the good work.

Haha your face is too funny in that laundry photo!!!! I get quite a stinky pile at home my the end of the week, but my dog thinks they smell Juuuuust right.

I have those days too when my appetite is in over drive. I just go with it and try to stick with healthy options, but allow myself the extra amount to be satisfied.

    Hunger stinks.

Lori, I sweat like no tomorrow & I smell beyond bad too! YIKES! I do have a hard time getting my workout clothes clean & always have the underarm stuff left there & just .. I don’t know, never seems clean enough. I guess us major sweaters have this prob! 😉

I would like to win that Febreze product because I’ve already tried every other “sports” laundry product on the market and don’t love any of them. And I have to have something because you have not lived until you smell a load that has my running clothes and Mr. Helen’s and my Muay Thai Boxing gi’s in it. Gah! It’s so bad we don’t even put it in the regular dirty laundry hamper. They need a place of their own!!

John makes bread? That’s pretty awesome!

Chili is always better the second day! Mmmm!

As for laundry, I don’t have any major issues. I’m pretty anal when it comes to laundry. I do it all and don’t let my fiance touch it! lol He’s probably thrilled!

Well since I don’t think you were reading my blog back then I will tell you my worst laundry story lol. Back in the Spring/Summer of 09 I started having a really weird problem, my dryer started smelling like poop. I kept wondering what the heck is the problem since it was a new dryer. So I wiped it out with bleach, nope didn’t fix it, wiped it out with vinegar, nope, with lemons, nope. I read all over the web about what could it be. Then a light went on and I thought since it vented out the floor I thought maybe there was standing water under the house, a broken pipe or something. So Mike and Kevin hauled the washer and dryer out on the porch and cut a big old hole in the floor (since our house really has no crawl space). Well low and behold there was a swamp of sewage water over by our bathroom, yep a broken pipe. So that is how our bathroom remodel and blue poop palace (port-a-potty) and camp shower 5 weeks of hell all began lol. To think it only took a year to finish the bathroom lol.

I know not really related to the laundry but I did spend months trying to figure out why my dryer smelled like poop lol.

No big laundry problems here, my Mom taught me well how to handle everything 🙂

Thanks for the tip, I already found a foam roller that isn’t expensive and think I’ll buy it and will do my stretching regurarly.

You should read the Harry Potter books, if you have to choose between the books and the movies: go for the books! They left a lot out in the movie (which I understand because time is limited for a movie) and J.K. Rowling is really a very good writer.

  16. Ang

As a testiment to my laziness my biggest laundry problem is that I tend to forgot to put stuff in the dryer and then I have to wash it again so it’s not all funky smelling. I’m also very sweaty and have major stinky workout wear too!

  17. Amanda @ bakingwithoutabox

Totally understand the stinky workout clothes. I have to hang our on doorknobs just to let the sweat dry because they get so soaked. Ick!!! I normally use baking soda in the rinse cycle but maybe I should give this a try.

NSA days are so tough when actively thinking about it. Makes sweets even more tempting. Awesome job on beating the craving with grapes!

    The granola sounds yummy!

I don’t think I have any interesting laundry stories to share. I do keep both liquid Downy and the sheets, because I often get forgetful to add the liquid into the washing machine when it’s time. So, I cover myself and keep the sheets on hand.

Now, my mother-in-law makes an art of doing laundry. She has specific detergents for specific types of clothing, because she swears they work better. She’ll even soak the socks in Mr. Clean before washing them to rid the socks of the dirty bottoms. It works well, but her way is very time consuming. I keep it simple and it works for us. 🙂

    HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING…if I don’t pop on here beforehand. 😀
