Al fresco dining

It’s Thursday! I managed to make it through last night without any more snacking. Go me! Today went quite well as well. I am still off schedule this week, so it is lifting day for me. I was up before 6 o’clock and decided to just go to the gym after laying in bed hoping to sleep more. Lack of sleep lately is also not helping the snack issues.

The early crowd was there, but then they all left en masse and I had the gym to myself for a while. I loved that!

Exercise Set/rep/weight Muscle worked
Bent over dumbbell row 3 sets of 10 with 20# DBs (40# total) Back
Cable standing kickback 3 set of 10 each leg at 40# Hammies and glutes
Decline Situps 3 sets of 12 (gonna feel these tomorrow!) Core
Front Raise 3 sets of 10 with 8# DBs (16# total) Shoulders
Calf Raise 3 sets of 12 at 110# Calves
Lower Back Extension 3 sets of 15 at 80# Low back
Triceps kickback 3 sets of 12 with 12# DBs (24# total) Triceps
Pliet Squat 3 sets of 10 with 35# DB Lower Body
Incline biceps curls 3 sets of 10 with 12# DBs (24# total) Biceps

I realize in writing this out that I totally forgot my chest. I was doing this workout and thought something was missing, but I couldn’t figure it out. That’s pre coffee for you. 🙄

I was hungry and commenced to making coconut flour waffles.  They are so fragile, which is why they are always folded up because of how I have to roll them out of the waffle iron.

Tasty!

Work was soooooo busy today.  I think there must be a few people on vacation, because both of my accounts had a ton of work to do.  I am A-OK with that, though.  That meant I finished up early

Lunch time.

I cooked up some eggs last night for egg salad.  I wish I were more on top of doing this because I love egg salad and would probably have it more if I cooked more eggs. Or made a meal plan.

Such a warm day today.  Pixie is in full hair eject mode right now.  See all the white poofs she leaves around?

I need to really start brushing her better now as I am also finding hairball ‘presents’ around the house.

Afternoon pick-me-up!

My latte blots out John and the sun.  As it shouldbe.

We took advantage of the nice day to bike to a casual dinner.  Thursdays still feel like Fridays to me.  I think that is because I still upload my time sheet every other Thursday, which gives it the weekend feel.  Must remember to work tomorrow…

Anyway, back to dinner.  We hit the path and arrived at East End Eatery.  I started with a side salad:

Then I had a whole wheat cheese pizza wrap.  We ate outside, too, since it was so nice.  Dinner el fresco style in Glens Falls.

15 miles on the bike today.  A nice maintenance ride.  It’s funny how when you really get in tune with your sport, short distances seem like nothing.  Like how running 3 mile is no big deal after you are able to run multiple miles.

I have actually done a no-added sugar day today as well.  And accidental vegetarian 😀  If I want anything else to eat tonight, it is to be fruit only. My pact.

Question: Do you plan meals daily, for the week, or never?

I sort of plan a few days ahead for dinner, usually, so I can shop. Lunches I have some “go to” meals and sometimes plan leftovers. Just depends. My husband and I got back to biking recently and it was hard! I was thinking of you and your long rides.

I typically plan meals for a day or two at a time. I always have leftovers so you learn not to buy too much at a time or it goes bad!

…speaking of which, I think I need to check the chicken in the fridge! Whoops! 🙂

I might plan a couple days ahead but not the whole week. If i don’t plan some then we eat out waaaayyy too much. 10 mile bike ride with daughter yesterday! Some walking in there as she needed some booty breaks. Her booty was not as tough as she thought it was. LOL!

Lovely dinner date you had yesterday.

I always plan my meals for the week. Usually on Sunday for a week later. On weekdays I don’t have the time or energy to think about mealplanning so I plan ahead for over a week.

Since I live by myself and I tend to eat the same things over and over, my meal planning is fairly simple. I just have to plan to have those ingredients on hand regularly.

I’ve noticed a definite correlation between sleep, or the absence of the proper amount of it, and snackiness. And yet, I keep getting caught up in it time and time again. *sigh*

I would be completely lost without a meal plan – like yesterday, I looked at my meal plan and Thursday was completely blank!

Plus I shop off of our local stores sale paper, to keep our costs down too.

    Happy Friday!!

I plan for work days and then it’s hit or miss on the weekend. Love checking out your workouts. Those are some serious weights!

VERY envious that you ate outside. Our wet spring and cold temps are dragging on a bit. HOPEFULLY it turns around soon! Have a wonderful weekend Lori!

Al fresco dining – my favorite! Unfortunately, I just looked at our 10-day forecast and it’s supposed to rain every. single. day. Of course, today is gorgeous but I’m stuck at work. Enough already!

Pixie is getting ready for warmer weather! 🙂

I think those waffles look amazing! Hey, me, I don’t care how it looks if it tastes good but your food always looks good!

What a beautiful dinner view – lucky you!

I tend to plan. I eat a lot of the same types of food but made differently so I just have stuff in the fridge made up or easy to make & away I go! 😉

Sleep – age has certainly effected that with me – the hormones attack!
