Wrapping up the work week.

Phew.  Thursday.  Ready for a post of randomness and jumping around?  Please enjoy…

Been trying to tie up my loose ends before my long weekend.  I let myself sleep as late as I could today, which ended up about 7:15.  Yay!

I made up some coconut flour waffles.

Sometimes these come out of the waffle iron easily, like today, and other times they shred.  I am not sure why.

Busy work day today. Pixie looked like she was plotting against me when she wasn’t sleeping.  It was making me nervous LOL!

Little does she know that she is going to have to beg John for her morning crack this weekend and he sleeps later than I do!

Another porch lunch today in the rain.

I had a 1-minute muffin with some peanut flour and jam on top.  This dreary weather, though – just makes the day a little blah.

My favorite time of the day helps perk me up!

Along with a date, aka giant roach. (haha – now don’t you want one??)

Doing laundry to pack for this weekend.  That’s the nice thing about working from home! My first class on Friday is the day hiking class.  I wonder if I will bring the rain?  I’ll update when I get back.  At least the weather won’t be freezing overnight, so that is a good thing 😀

Dinner time!  I decided on another Amy’s entree:

I decided to bake it in the toaster oven, which the led to me snacking for half an hour while it cooked 🙄

So, this dinner didn’t look too much like the box:

I will say that despite the looks, it was quite tasty!  One thing I noticed about this one and the pasta bowl was the good texture of the pasta.  It had a nice bite to it and not mushy.  It was spinach lasagna, but it didn’t have a heavy spinach taste, even though there was a lot in the dish.  I haven’t had lasagna in forever.  Think I might have to change that.

John and I ran some errands tonight.  One thing was getting a new windshield wiper.  Last night John was on the highway and one wiper just flew off into the night.  This was the replacement.

Just a rag.  He left me a note this morning in case it was raining and I had to go out 😀    These are the things that happen when your car is 12 years old.

Replacement arrived!

Good thing, too – see those skies?  We stopped for a treat afterwards.

I made fluffernutter today.  This was marshmallow yogurt with peanut butter!  I couldn’t quite finish it, though.  Very much unlike me, but then we didn’t bike there.

Now to pack and watch the season premiere of Futurama!

Question:  How old is your vehicle?

Fluffernutter fro-yo?! I think my heart just skipped a beat. I am obsessed with Fluffernutters (and all things related to ice cream).

We *just* got a new car last summer, and it’s a 2010. But we also have a 1999 minivan on it’s last wheel 🙂

I have a 2006 Ford Focus. I wish my community was designed so my Trek could get me everywhere:)

MalibuKen is soon to be two years old. I sold my 1989 pickup with 365K miles when I bought Ken.

I’ll be anxious to hear about your hiking class.

Our 1991 Nissan Maxima just died two weeks ago. (Sad moment here.) Our other car is a 2003 12-passenger van! We are trying to hold off getting a new car to save more money. It’s a challenge to get by with one car for nine people!

You didn’t finish your yogurt?!? Let me feel your forehead – you must be getting sick! 😉

My car is nine years old and Jeff’s is 2, but the one we replaced for his was 15 years old…we tend to run ours into the ground.

Mmmm. Lasagne. I haven’t had that in a long time either.

I had an old car that didn’t have wipers on it and I got stuck in a snowstorm with a load of tropical fish. Now that was an adventure!

Have a great and fun weekend Lori, can’t wait to see all the lovely pictures you are going to make.

My car is also 12 years old. R. wants me to replace it for a newer car but I actually love my car and I still don’t have many repair costs on it so keep on driving it for a while.

Yum- that yogurt looks so rich and delicious! My car is about 8 years old. I think we’ve replaced everything in it but the engine. 🙂 My husband takes such good care of our vehicles that I think it will last forever. It has over 150,000 miles and still works like new!

  9. Helen

My car is 3 years old, Mr. Helen’s is 1. I traded in a 10 year old car and he traded in an 18 year old car. We tend to drive cars until they die or the repair cost is more than the car is worth.

    Enjoy your weekend!

Fluffernutter sounds so good! I have a coupon for a free fro-yo at one of those yogurt and toppings places that are spreading like a virus in our area. Perhaps Rob and I will go over the long 4th of July weekend.

My car, Tardis, is a purple 2005 Scion XB. Rob drives a new Ford F-150 super crew, which I named Vincent because he’s the color of the sky in the Starry Night painting.

    That fro-yo sounds delicious.

I drive a 2004 F150 pickup and Bill drives a 2001 VW beetle and a 1986 el camino. Strange that the 86 has the least amount of miles.

Hope you stay dry this weekend.
