What’s Blooming Today!

Welcome to What’s Blooming this week!  I am off to my Becoming an Outdoors woman today. Hopefully a dry outdoors woman.

A wet and rainy blooming time this week.  Rain drops always make for some nice shots.

This is the giant clematis climbing up our porch. It’s called heliopsis and these will open into yellow lanterns.

My new annuals – dianthus:

Daylily.  Next week will be a daylily bonanza!

Here is the garden from sidewalk level.

Note John in the background.  This  is the extent of any gardening he does – just looking at it.

One of my new cone flowers has a bud on it. This is the milkshake  one.  I can’t wait for it to open!

This is some lobelia.  Very low growing, but such a pretty blue color.

My giant milkweeds.  I let these grow on the south side of the house hoping that monarchs will lay eggs on them.

Have a great weekend!

It looks beautiful Lori – I wish I had a green thumb, but plants come to my house to die. 🙁

    Enjoy your weekend!

If we had the space I would, but that front yard is pretty much all we have. Some day when we move to our permanent home – one requirement will be a large sunny lot!

Once I was staying at a state park where Becoming an Outdoor Woman festivities were happening. The leader told me I was free to join but told my husband he couldn’t come, he looked too threatening and would intimidate the women! lol

Love all your colorful flowers, Lori! Does your garden have a peak time for blooming, or do different things bloom at different times?

Beautiful Lori! I prefer to do gardening like John: just looking at it 🙂 but R. and I both aren’t really enjoying gardening so we do it together to get it over with and then enjoy it by looking at it.

Have a great weekend my friend.
