Weekend and Google keyword fun!

December really feels like it is here now.  It has been cold!!  Biking season officially over and that means this:

Inside trainers – pointed at the TV we moved from our bedroom.  We swapped out the tires on our bikes to prevent all the flat tires that we had this last season.  Apparently the trainer will cause the tires to become misshapen, which will create more problems with the tubes.  Solution? Replace our good tires with the old ones during the winter.

I also had to pay for John’s football meal.  For some reason, he chose 99, which is at the mall.  Going to the mall on a Saturday in December is not something we *ever* do, but there you go.

Soup and salad for me.  It was really good.  The Jammin’ Crab soup.

We also scored some good bargains.  I can see why people go to the mall at this time of year.  I needed some new luggage for our trip to Disney in January.  This was on sale at TJ Maxx.  It’s a Samsonite!

Marked down to $49 from the TJ Maxx price of $69, which was also marked down from the regular retail.  Go me! It’s the year of the bargain for us.

I have been working on my lesson plan for my literacy learner.  We have started reading The Giver.

Sort of a Utopian society kind of book.   The story of Jonas and his realization that the perfect society isn’t.

Time also spent at the library.  I think these 2 books show why I am a Gemini.

Spent some time laughing at the Google Analytics of my blog.  Some of my favorite keyword searches:

– Addicted to oats: This came up a lot!

– food for happiness : yay!

– overeat at Golden Corral.  I don’t go there very often.

– beautiful bowl for feet.  Ummm… okay?

– Candy corn –

– he won’t remember what I said anyway:  LOL!  Right, John?

– I love thanksgiving it’s the one day that big thighs are good.  I guess

– lifting is fun:  Yes, yes it is!

– moldy waffle.  Ewwww.  Nasty!

– too much cream cheese on the bagel:  Is that even possible??

If you have a google account, you can get the analytics code to put into your blog to track this stuff.  It’s fun!

We did get some good football time in.  Pixie also loves football time and John’s lap.

I also did a little too much eating.  I did great eating  all last week, but this weekend – not so great.  The food was all tasty, though.  I made these meatless/grain free meatballs, which I will post the recipe for.

Now it’s time for guitar practice and more relaxing!

Have you ever read The Giver?

hahaha those Google Analytics phrases are soooo funny! I’m been wanting to read Sugar Nation, I might just have to pick it up now!

I actually DID read The Giver a couple of years ago for my book club. Most people found it depressing, but I really liked it! I read the sequels as well.

I LOVE to look at my Google Analytics–there are so many funny phrases that people use to wind up on my blog!

Cool! It’s interesting so far. I am trying not to get too far ahead of my learner with it, but I ready very fast.

I haven’t heard of The Giver, but it won a Newberry Award, and one of my favorite books as a kid won one of those, so I might get it. Plus, I noticed that they had the trilogy for $7.99 kindle version 🙂

My library has e-books for download and I have the free kindle reader. That has worked out nicely since all the actual copies have been checked out!

I’ve actually never read The Giver, but pretty sure I’ve read other books by that author. Of course I can’t remember which ones now, thank you C.R.S., lol!

Love a TJ Maxx bargain – I swear, when you get a markdown there, it’s time for the happy dance! 🙂

I’ve never read The Giver but they read it for the office’s book club last year. I always think it’s funny what search phrases bring people to my blog. Good for a laugh.

Been thinking about looking into after Christmas bike sales to get Ben a bike and maybe get myself a better one too. Mine isn’t terrible but it’s kinda heavy and a guy’s bike with handlebars that don’t adjust. So if I’m riding for a while, I get a lot of shoulder and arm pain from bring hunched over so much. I’d like to be a bit more upright.

I haven’t read The Giver, but it seems like something I would enjoy, so I will check it out.

Bet you were nervous during the Denver O/T…heeheehee! I am almost ready to jump on the Tebow wagon…he seems so sweet and good.

    The crab soup looks goooood!

    Great score on the luggage!

I couldn’t believe that game went to overtime. I am not a Tebow fan, since it is just the whole team that is playing well right now. I don’t think he is the future of the Broncos, but I could be wront.

My boys read the Giver as an ELA assignment in 7th grade. I think they liked it since I don’t remember hearing too much complaining about it.

Oh, I hadn’t realized you biked inside during winter! Looks funny.

I’ve never heard of Lois Lowry’s Giver, but I’ll put it on my reading list. I just had my malfunctioning Amazon Kindle replaced for free so I’m ready to start buying books again..

And yes, part of the fun of blogging is checking the Google Analytics. Some of the search phrases are funny, some are creepy – I didn’t know how many people want to sprain their ankles before I wrote about my ankle sprain in my blog.

Love Pixie “the leg warmer”. She looks so content. 🙂

Don’t know the book nor the writer.
I have to try this google analytics once too. I had to laugh out loud at the “he won’t remember what I said anyway” and your comment on this.

Dont know the book or the author. Reading Clive Cussler right now. I picked up one of his books a few months ago and now i’m hooked. Good thing he has lots of books out there and most of them i can find at a good price.
Me? I watched the cowboy/giant game last night and hubs got first pick and he picked the giants……….It was a pretty good game. I like it when they are close. That darn Romo , they need a new quarterback and from the end of this game aparently a new kicker too. ….sigh…… 🙂

Lori – I need to get some of that Pixie life!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute! 😉
How exciting about your Disney trip! Countdown! I can’t wait to see your posts on that!

Feel bad that you can’t do your outside biking now – but you always make the best of it!

OK, loved that candy corn search! 😀

I thought about you watching the Bronco’s game! What a good ending! :-)…. Can’t say the same for my Redskins!! Boo! 🙁

Saw the best mariachi band on the subway this weekend with a guitar and an accordion and tried to film it for you — thought you’d like to see his guitar! Didn’t push the buttons fast enough but will try to find them again before the 25th. It is not possible to put too much cream cheese on a bagel. This has been proven scientifically somewhere, I’m sure. Probably Sweden.

I asked for a trainer for Christmas so I can ride this winter. I think I have been nice- so Santa should put one under the tree for me!!! 🙂

    Yay for TJ Maxx!!!
