Weekend round up

It was a cooooooold weekend here!  All that wind on Friday ushered in really cold weather.  Overnights  below zero and a high today of 15.  Yuck.  Cannot get or stay warm.  I am too much of a wuss to go walking outside in this weather and didn’t want to drive to the gym to walk.  Trainer riding instead!

I won the fantasy picks last week, so John had to pony up for lunch out at Wakin’ Bacon.  This is a new place that opened up.  I like this place!  They made me one of the sandwiches, but I asked them to hold the bread and put it on a plate.

This was pulled pork topped with jalapenos and cheese (plus bacon!).  I had the onions left off.  I like that they easily change stuff to order.

And football.  Oh football.  The Saints/49ers game.  Now *that* was a game!  Wow!  I wish the Saints had pulled it out, but as it goes one week in football, it does not the next.

Same with the Broncos.  That game was damn ugly.  Kind of expected though, although I did have a small glimmer of hope that the Broncos could pull it off, they did not.

My 2 teams out of the playoffs now and I have retired my Broncos jersey back to the closet for the year.

Lots of kitty lap time because of the cold.

I wonder what it is like to sleep that much.

Monday I will be back to bugging the doctor to see if my lab results are back.  I don’t do well dwelling on stuff.

LOL. Even though I don’t keep track of football at all, our here that the 49ers won was a big deal–my pastor even mentioned it in his sermon!

    That lunch looks delicious Lori.

It’s finally a bit cold here too (not as cold as where you live though) and I want to do the same as Pixie does 🙂

Lori, if you do have something going on with your thyroid, the best thing that can happen is that you get it diagnosed asap – I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 8 years ago and am so grateful because I had all these vague symptoms (tired all the time, weight gain, hair loss, feeling cold all the time) that I thought were just due to aging and that I had to resign myself to… Now I know it was my thyroid, and while it was hard to accept at first, I am so happy that I can keep it under control with medication – and I feel a lot better than before I knew what the heck was going on.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it’s nothing more serious than a sluggish thyroid!

Our weather seems to mirror yours! It’s getting colder all the time and I must go out even though I don’t want to. Grr. 🙁

Still waiting for that dangerous chocolate cookie recipe.. 🙂

I feel you on the doc-waiting. I’m even feeling anxiety by proxy here and they aren’t my tests.

Hmmm, maybe I can enjoy Disney by extension as well. 🙂 Here’s hoping you find out something today.

Your wait (I hope) should be over today. Good luck!!

Sucky week for football all around. Guess I’m rooting for the 49ers now since they’ve been terrible for so long. I figure their fans are due for some excitement. Plus can’t bear the thought of NY or NE winning again!!

GO GIANTS! We’re not doing picks for the post season but he still owes me one dinner!

This cold has been brutal. (We have an older house too so I feel your pain.) Even my TM run in the garage was just cold, but at least no wind.

    Call that doctor for sure!

Waiting with you on the test results……with fingers, toes and eyes crossed! The only game i caught was the Giants/Packers game. Hubby and i chose sides and i picked the Packers……..I mean they’ve only lost one game this season right?? Sigh….I’m just not a good picker. lol. Stay warm girlfriend! Its 74 degrees here today, crazy huh?

I was so bummed the Broncs took such a beating. I was wishing my day would get better by the Giants losing but that didn’t happen. Not that I really dislike the Giants, I just like GB better.

Any way – good luck with those test results. Stay warm.
