Ice cream in March.

This was today!  It’s like summer.  I only needed a light jacket this morning to go to the gym.   I did Workout A today and I am already feeling stronger.  The goal is to increase the weights or reps on a few exercises each time to challenge yourself.  Maximum of 12 reps per set, though.  I did 3 sets of 12 pushups and 3 sets of 12 with the  stepups.  I also added weight to the bird dog.  I am feeling strong!  I get so sweaty doing these workouts, too.

The bank was lucky this morning because their drive-through windows were closed and I had to go *into* the bank on the way home from the gym.  I asked the teller why the lanes were closed and I heard someone say “Oooops!”  She had forget to turn on the open signs.  I let them I wouldn’t have subjected them to a post-gym me if I could have helped it!  😳

I had my pumpkin protein drink leaving the gym, so I wasn’t in too much of a hurry to eat, which is nice.  I made up a 1-minute waffle and did the ricotta and honey thing again.

Yep, I like it.

Had a good work day today. I cannot stress how grateful I am for my job!  Almost exactly 1 year ago I was going through that indecision with work after having been laid off by one of my jobs and received an offer with another company, which led to my current company giving me full time and enough incentive to stay. I am so, so thankful for that.  For as long as it lasts.  This industry changes so much that my job could be gone tomorrow, so I will just be thankful every day that I work here.

Lunch was more like a dinner for me.  Ground turkey cooked with BBQ sauce.  I shall also again profess my love for baby broccoli florets!  They always have space waiting in my freezer  😆

Pixie is loving this warm weather and the sun spots that move around.  She abandons the lap, although this morning it was cooler and she was with me.

Are you taking another picture of me??

Snackage.

Latte with one of the chewy coconut things I made almost 2 weeks ago.  They have lasted a long time because I am not eating extra when I am not nibbling.  Imagine that.  There are only 2 left, though.

With the warm weather, I wanted a cool dinner.  So, I made my latest love, which is the apple cranberry topping on the 2% Fage.

This is surprisingly filling, at least for a while.

The seasonal ice cream shops have been opening early this year and today marked the first day for Rookies, which is 1/3 mile from our house.  So, we took a walk down there after dinner to have the first soft serve cone of the season!

Everyone else had the same idea!  I have never seen this place so busy.

I got a kiddie cone with eyes!  This is maple flavor and oh so good!

The eyes were 2 different colors, too. One yellow and one white.  This size is perfect for after dinner.

Now that the ice cream shop is open, the weather is going to go downhill. 😀

Rookies – one more thing added to the list of “must-dos” will we are in New York!! That list is getting really long!

That is so weird to hear you had a day that was sunnier and warmer than ours was. It was clouded over all day threatening to rain. Good walking weather though.

That ground turkey looked like some kind of delicious glazed walnuts. You can see where my mind is!

Don’t you love it those first days of Spring? We’re having them too at the moment and people get so happy when the sun is shining again. Love it!

Lori something is “wrong” with your blog. It keeps coming up in my google reader, even comments on old posts. Thought I mention it, maybe you’ve changed some settings or something else.

This is really odd. I doesn’t come up in my reader. I haven’t fiddled with the blog or anything, so I will have to see what it up. I think there are some issues with wordpress because I know there are commenting issues with other blogs that I visit.

Lori, I second what Fran says. There is something wrong with your blog. I fear you may have a virus. I had about 30 odd random old comments posts yesterday and 25 this morning. I’ve seen it happen before, but can’t remember what the person did to make it go away.

It’s OK if the weather tanks a little bit – all of this has been a wonderful blessing and such relief to know the worst is well over.

Maple soft serve sounds so marvelous. I could go for a dish right now!!!!

Great job on the workouts – isn’t it the best when you start to get stronger and see benefits from the hard work? Go girl!

FYI, I’m having the same issue as Fran…

I saw on the news this morning that it’s going to cool down over the weekend and we may actually have some 30’s overnight next week. Oh well, the unseasonably warm weather has been nice while it lasted 🙂

Our seasonal ice cream shops started opening early too but since New England consumes more ice cream per capita I’m sure they’ll be fine.

Lori, the last few days something has gone wrong with the RSS feed. I use Google Reader and every comment is coming through the feed, not just the post.

It seems to be some sort of issue with the server my blog is on and the google comment feed. I think people will have to unsubscribe from my comment RSS (which I don’t know how to do since I don’t have my reader set up this way) and hopefully it will settle down.

Our Dairy Queen is open all year round – its good and bad at the same time!

All this not being able to comment is driving me insane – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

    Enjoy your Friday!!

    Pixie love of course!!!! 🙂

Lori, I remember your whole job story so happy it all worked out for the best for you & very deserving!

Those eyes on that cone are watching me! 😉

Eek, the cones have eyes! 🙂 I’m so jealous of your weather, could I send some snow over there? Ours is busy melting, but there’s still plenty around.

    Pixie love.
