Hello sun!

Woke up this morning and sunrise was bright.  How welcome that is! This week has been very windy and cold and cloudy.  Not good biking weather, I tell you.  But, that is spring.  The garden is soaking up all that sun.

I baked up breakfast and tried to relax a bit.  Sometimes I just want to get started working right away and need to just take time to eat my breakfast *without* working.  That’s what working on production can do to you.

It sure was hard to stay buckled down at work this morning, speaking of. The nice weather, plus having to work late last night gave me Fridayitis!

Carbed up a little at lunch. This is a baked potato with ground turkey and BBQ sauce with laughing cow cheese.

Pretty tasty!

I was getting antsy to get outside in the afternoon, watching the temps creep upwards into the low 60s as I worked.  We decided to play a little on Friday and bike for coffee!  We went to downtown Glens Falls to Coffee Planet.

My latte – with unpictured dried pineapple.

It was such a nice day for a ride.  A bit breezy, though.  We took the path home as there was a lot of traffic today and it was annoying me for whatever reason.

12 miles round trip!

Back to work  until dinner time… sigh…

Cajun seasoned chicken, which was really good.

I also got in some new coffee beans today.  From Bali.

This is a new one for me and I am excited to try this out.  I roasted those after dinner.

Tonight we are relaxing in. Guitar practice, watching Grimm and maybe some puzzle stuff.  Tomorrow is a long ride – finally to Saratoga and that means cuppicakes!  Yay!  I am going to be smart and *not* do lifting in the morning prior to a 40+ mile ride this week

I will leave you with this woodpecker, who  is also enjoying the sun and the suet feeder on my front porch.

The sun was deceiving today because it looked gorgeous out but didn’t warm up until late in the day. Sounds like a good ride, 12 miles with a good cup-a-joe in between.
Mr. Woodpecker looks beautiful. You’r lucky he’s not picking at your chimney. They can be so annoying!

Its so fun to discover what’s going on in the garden isn’t it? LOVE that woodpecker. Neat to get so close to him.

So that Grimm is a good show? Is it like Once Upon a Time?

Did I ever tell you I LOVE that you post regularly at this time of day. It is just right for a little break before dinner, before or after our walk. Thanks for being so reliable.

Grimm is kind of fun. Way more dark than Once Upon a Time. It has monsters.

Funny, the posting time is just routine after dinner for scheduling purposes 😀

    Happy riding!

(I’m such an idiot sometimes. I missed the ‘potato’ part of your lunch at first, and I was sitting here wondering when cucumbers and turkey became carb-y foods. I went back to see if I missed some bread, and then I saw the potato. I really do need to practice more comprehensive reading. @@)

Ooh, I tried watching Grimm and it was too scary for me – those monster kept freaking me out!

Have a great bike ride tomorrow and enjoy those cupcakes! Looks like Saturday is treat day, between your cupcakes and my ice cream run, lol!

Yay for biking! I got excited just looking at the picture of your shiny bike!!!! 🙂
How cool is it to have a woodpecker right there…. or maybe at 4am it is not so cool???? Do you they keep you up at night or wake you up in the morning? Still…. very cool!!!

We haven’t had a whole lot of sunshine the past few days. We have rain predicted through Monday. It makes for dreary days but it’s perfect for just making ourselves relax a bit. 🙂 Have a great weekend! I’ll have to google the process for roasting your own coffee beans. It sounds intriguing!

Hope you had a good ride Lori AND some yummy cupcakes!!!

L watch both Grimm & Once Upon a Time. Like them both – very enjoyable. Yes, Grimm is much darker! but I like both! Did you know the guy from Will & Grace produces Grimm??

    Have a great weekend.

Grimm? I read it’s darker than Once upon a time, a show I enjoy very much. Hopefully they are going to air Grimm soon too.

Did I mention already I’m finally will be able to watch Mad Men starting season 1? Very curious about this show, missed it the first time they aired it here.
