My obsessions lately

Things that have been occupying my time as of late (and my mouth).

Coffee.  Like this is news to anyone?  Haha!

I guess roasting my own really does put that in the obsession category, don’t you think?

My Kindle.  I love my Kindle.  I keep pointing that out to John as well.  He says he is glad I love it so much since he bought it for me.  I am currently downloading all the classic novels for free, plus I get a free book each month with Amazon Prime (Hunger Games this month).

Although, this stupid game on the Kindle is sucking my time.

Did I mention that it was a free Kindle game?  I like free.  However, it is really addictive.  *shakesfistatKindle*  Good thing Mahjong isn’t free or I would be all over that, too.

Dried pineapple.

I adore this stuff!  The best thing is that 1 or 2 pieces is good enough to satisfy me.  Unlike chocolate or cereal, I don’t overeat this stuff, so it is really good for me to have around for that sweet fix.  It’s also awesome for workout fuel.

Home improvement stuff.  My newly painted and waxed table that was my great grandmother’s (not concerned it was a real antique table, so painting okay).

I am totally obsessed right now with projects, but I have to make sure that I finish one project before starting another as I have been doing a couple simultaneously.  I am already thinking about the indoor floors when I am still working on the porch.  Stupid work keeping me from stuff I want to do.

Cycling.  Doing it. Watching it.  Thinking about it.  Again, stupid work or I would be biking all day.  Well, only on days where it isn’t too hot or windy or raining 😀

Too bad all that cardio can’t make you lean LOL!  Or least make *me* lean.

What are you excessively enjoying lately?

Anyone who knows me will know the answer to that….my obsession is hiking. With these cooler days, I’m getting more and more excited about fall/winter which are my favorite hiking seasons. I’d go every day if I could. When I’m not planning my next hike, I’m reading everything I can get my hands on about other people’s hikes.

We have a few of the same obsessions!

Coffee. I have it instead of my diet coke in the afternoon.

Kindle games ….yes, they can be a time suck!

I don’t know if it is an obsession but I am enjoying swimming quite a bit, and quite intent on pursuing my goal.

Can the lack of something be an obsession? Going this long without a computer has been quite the experience.

And then of course there is quilting.

Homemade lattes, and the search for the best espresso blend are my latest obsessions. There’s a coffee roastery in town, and I’ve been going in and having the guy mix me up a different 1/2 pound batch each week. I think we’re honing in on the perfect blend for me – it’s pretty fun, actually!

    Coffee, always coffee 🙂

I got a new phone last week and am since then obsessed with Songpop and Mindfeud. But that will pass soon I’m sure.

Roasted coffee = the best! My dad does it and I’m ruined…now if I only lived close enough to have him roast it for me always. 🙂

Going to look the Kindle game up as I love word games.

Oh, my addictions lately? Instagram (getting in touch with out-of-town friends via this, ahem, time waster.)..and I don’t even have an iPhone yet..I use it on my iPad.

    Also, I love Pinterest.

And coffee, but that’s nothing new… oh, and M&Ms. In fact, I think I need to refrain from refilling our dispenser as I’ve not been so good about staying away from it lately. *rolling eyes*

    Have a nice weekend!

I am so happy to have gotten to try your coffee – it is amazeballs! If it were in my budget I’d order more from you!

My Mom gets her Kindle books from her library for free – not sure if I told you that or not – pretty much anything you can get from the library you can get on your Kindle!

I have been watching a little too much of Sherlock lately. I luv his sexy brain! 😀

Have you forgotten all about candy corn?

I love my coffee & my weights! 🙂 I don’t have a Kindle or iPad or anything like that so…. I know the iPad would be another time suck for me! 😉

I wish I was good at home stuff like you! 🙂

I have one of the original kindles and love it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as if there is enough time in the day for reading. As you said, work keeps getting in the way.

Obsessions at the moment: healthy eating–reading about it, shopping with it in mind, trying new recipes, and my Paprika online recipe file; biking–going out as often as possible, doing hills and trying to surpass previous assults up the hill (I turn around when I can’t go any farther); reading (I always have several books, Kindle, iPad, iPod, and paper); Scramble on my iPad; and, right now, cleaning out my drawers and closet to cull out the too big, out-of-date stuff.

BTW, I made your Balsamic Tomato Chicken for the first time this week. OMG! It’s amazing. Can’t believe I put off trying it for this long. It’s definitely going to make regular appearances on our dinner table. And, unlike some of my other favorite chicken recipes, it’s not high in sodium! THANK YOU!

I am obsessed by YOGA! I don’t think that is news though.

I do love to play Mahjong too…on Facebook.

I like the every word game – check out Thread Words too (should also still be free). At least it’s an educational time-suck 🙂
