Early morning ride

It was very cold this morning when I got up.  It had to be close to 50 degrees.   I had some quick fuel of whey protein, almond milk and applesauce.

I was in pants and a jacket and my eyes watered a bit when I started.  Yep, fall is definitely coming.  It was sunny out and quite a beautiful ride.  I pulled over once on this side street for a couple shots.

There was a hot air balloon up today.  I can’t even imagine how cold it was way up there!

Brrrr!!!!

Good ride today. 13 miles.  This took me an hour.

Yay!

Only 12 more miles to go for 400 this month.  That distance is exactly as much as a ride to breakfast or yogurt.  How convenient! Hmmm…. tomorrow I will just have to do one of those to get the distance

It was still chilly when I got back, so I made up some banana oats topped with coconut butter and strawberry jam.

Cold weather means you know who is now snuggle cat.

Don’t you like how she holds my arm?  When she lays all the way down, she will curl her leg all the way around my arm. I don’t know why she does that, but it’s cute.

Lunch:

Fage with frozen blueberries and some granola.  This is really good!  I should have saved this for tomorrow when the temps are going to be in the mid 80s.

The day went pretty fast as it was busy at work.  I needed my brain break of a latte, which I didn’t get a good picture of, but you don’t need that anyway. Just trust me that I enjoyed it 😀

I managed to avoid having any coconut M&Ms, which are currently in the house (hidden). I was also looking online at cameras during my break.  We were at my sister’s house last night and she casually mentioned that she got a new digital camera because her old one broke.  I asked what kind and she said a Rebel!  That’s *my* dream camera!

Color me green, green, green!  No camera for me this year with the new driveway and flooring.  I’ll just have to steal play with hers.

Dinner time and I am still on the potato bandwagon.  This time topped with ground beef, laughing cow and hot sauce.

I am burning through this hot sauce bottle, too. Har, har.  Unpictured are the tortilla chips I munched on while getting dinner ready.  Ooops.

I’ve got tutoring tonight.  It’s been going pretty well.  This learner seems fairly motivated, although she young children and sometimes has to cancel meetings because of various things that come up with them.  Once school starts next week, hopefully things will settle down for her and she can really concentrate on herself.

Tomorrow is my monthly goal wrap up.  Already!  I didn’t make all of them, but good progress.

HI! I was going to email you if I did not see a post that I would normally read Friday but checked tonight since I am still on the computer.. 🙂

    THX for Pixie pics too!!!

It is do hot here & humid which is not normal for southern CA. With no AC in the house & this has gone on for 2++ weeks now – I am ready for some cool weather although I don’t want your winters!;-)

    That camera looks cool!!!!!!!

Happy Friday & long weekend – I hope for you!!!

Your doing great Lori! From experience i’ll bet those people in the hot air balloon were toasty! It gets pretty warm when they fire up the balloon! Hugs! deb

My eyes teared up just reading about your cold bike ride…of course, that was from massive envy, as I sit here contemplating another run in 80 degree temps on Saturday. Sigh…

Love how Pixie cuddles – she has it good, and she knows it. 🙂

I have this dream of getting in my RAV4 and driving back up to the northeast, then following fall back home. Hmmm, wonder if Bill would miss me??

I’m jealous of your sister’s camera too! I can’t believe how expensive cameras still are though. I would have thought you could get a really awesome one for a few hundred bucks. Not so. Plus they have the add-on lenses which are several hundred alone!

400 miles in a month, wow. I’m still trying to get my 212 in for the YEAR! 🙂

Love your early morning scene with the balloon going up. That lunch with the frozen blueberries is one of my favorites that I had forgotten about. I usually have it with walnuts, but granola sounds delish. Thanks for the reminder!

I’ve been noticing that fall is coming too. It’s chilly in the morning and evening.

I love what Pixie does, Bella sometimes does that too.
