Sahale Crunchers Review and Give Away!

I was recently contact by Sahale to try these new Almond Snacks and provide a give away for my readers.  I like the other Sahale nut snacks, so I was happy to try these out!

These are sliced almond snacks, which makes them nice and crispy crunchy.  All 3 flavors are gluten free and retail for $3.99 (MSRP).

There are 3 flavors:

Almonds with cranberries, sesame seeds and honey.

Yum! This is made with madagascar vanilla and I think that is what makes this taste so good. You can really taste the vanilla.  This would be an excellent topping for yogurt, but honestly we ate the entire bag just out of hand.

Almonds with cherries, apples and maple.

Nice maple flavor in this one – chewy and crunchy, like the cranberry flavor.  I was not sure I would like this one and was a little afraid to try it because I don’t like cherries.  Surprisingly, I did, probably because the apple and maple flavors were the most prevalent.  John really liked this flavor as well (he is a maple nut anyway).

Almonds with parmesan cheese and herbs.

You know how most nut snacks are sweet unless you have just plain nuts? This is a really nice change.  Nice cheesy flavor with a nice blend of oregano in there.  All crispy crunch and no chewy with this flavor. I think this would be really good on a salad for crunch or crushed up and use it to coat goat cheese!

Sahale is offering my US readers (sorry, not my choice) a chance to win 3 bags of Sahale Crunchers,  six easy recipes and this little Sahale Snacks ceramic bowl.

The only thing you need to do is comment here with how you would eat these Crunchers.

If you would like an extra entry, ‘like’ Sahale Crunchers on Facebook and leave another comment here that you did so.

Open to US residents only.  Winner will be picked through random drawing on Monday, October 15th, 2012.  Entries accepted until  12 pm Eastern on October 15th.

** I was provided these Sahale Snackers to review, but all opinions are my own.

I echo Kim: I would measure out servings and try to eat in moderation. They look fantastic! I’d definitely try them with yogurt

  2. Cathy O

Sounds YUMMY! I would eat in portions or as a topping to oatmeal for the sweet ones. The savory one might be tasty on a salad or quinoa topping.

  3. Rachel Weber

I would eat them right out of the bag. If I was smart, I might measure them out by weight first, so I eat the proper serving size…but I probably wouldn’t be too smart, especially for the first one you described 🙂

Besides just inhaling them straight out of the bag, I think I might use them as salad toppings – they would be perfect for that!

I have never had these but they sound great! I am a leader for TOPS (taking off pounds sensibly) and am always looking for snack ideas and recipes to share with my group.

I’ve never heard of that product but I can;t wait to try it…I’d eat it A L O T and everywhere!!!

Oh my, I’ve never seen or heard of these and would have to tread very carefully as almonds can be a potential trigger food for me. I’m wandering how many servings there are per bag. Having said that, they look like a great snack – I’d likely eat them straight up. All three varieties sound delicious to me.

I have never heard of this brand, but yum – they sounds delicious! I tend to eat this type of product by itself …and by the handful. haha Thanks for the great giveaway!

Sound like a lovely snack for the middle of the day. Either eaten plain or in some yogurt. Thanks for the give-away!

The savory ones with a beer, the ones with cranberries in a salad with goat cheese, beets, arugula and balsamic dressing…the ones with cherries for dessert on Haagen Dazs vanilla…..mmmmm….now I really want to win! 🙂

I’d toss them in my salad…yum! And I’d toss them on my vegetables! And….of course….and the one with cherries would be stirred into my Greek yogurt! Can’t wait to try them!

I liked Kim’s comment about eating them in moderation I would have to budget them too if I won. Think I would enjoy them on greek yogurt though for sure. Been eating a coconut greek yogurt lately that I bet they would taste great on. I’ve never heard of them before either.

My dh just went gluten free a few months ago. These would make great salad toppers and snacks for football games.
