Cramming it all in today!

Holiday prep day.  Always gotta cram stuff in today and be busy.  However, it is Bagel Wednesday and John decided he wanted Panera Bread.  We had a coupon for a free pastry, so score on that!  I loves the free.  You would think that as much as I love a bargain that I would love Black Friday, but I do not.  I also usually have to work on that Friday.  But… I digress from the bagel.  This is the pumpkin pie bagel.  We got a booth by the fireplace, too.

Pretty cozy for a weekday morning, don’t you think?

Holiday prep day today on top of work.  I was really busy with work all day, which is good.  I had to do some baking during my lunch break.  I am making this unholy thing for tomorrow:

Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle from Taste of Home.  So, I had to bake up the gingerbread and cook the pudding during lunch and I will assemble tonight at some point.  Mine won’t look that pretty because I don’t have a clear glass bowl, but hopefully it will taste good.

I had a haircut appointment at the mall in the late afternoon, so I figured I would just grab dinner out afterwards. Hearing that and John wanted to go as well.    Of course, my stylist was running a half hour late when I got there, so I was waayyy hungry for dinner by the time we finished. We hopped over to Moe’s for dinner.  I got one of those junior burritos.

It’s nice because this burrito size doesn’t make you super full.  Unless you eat a lot of chips with it. Ooops.  I was doing really well with my eating this whole week until the chips.

So I am quick posting after we got back from dinner. Tonight I still have to finish the trifle, do another hour of work (Ahhh!!!!!), make my famous cranberry sauce, practice guitar and then possibly crash.  I’m going to be up late tonight!   😯

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I am a total sucker for those chips at Moe’s. There’s just something about them that is really good! I remember that Panera AND that fireplace very well. Happy Thanksgiving to you and John! I am thankful that we enjoyed a morning of getting better acquainted and hope to have more time some day in the future!

What a hectic busy day! I have been cooking and eating a lot of Mexican food lately and making my own baked chips using the Mission extra thin corn tortillas to keep the calories down.

I’m not a fan of Black Friday either, I stay away from the stores, hate the crowds and the long lines.

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Lori.

Happy Thanksgiving Lori! Wow, you really had to assemble that trifle from scratch! I saw a pumpkin bread pudding on the cooking channel today and my brain is working overtime figuring out a low cal version of it!

Me and chips–best friends and mortal enemies. I only go out for Mexican once in a while. Because its all about the chips.

Happy Thanksgiving Lori and John! Hope tomorrow will be a nice relaxing day for you!

Your trifle sounds yummy. Mmmm, I haven’t had gingerbread in forever; must remedy that!

We finally went to our new Panera last night. Just as good as I remembered from our trips to North Texas – and thanks for the reminder about that pumpkin pie bagel…I definitely need to try one.

Hope you and John have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I have a work assignment at my local Moe’s this week! It’s about 2 miles from my house, yet I’ve never been there to eat. That might change… 🙂

Wishing you and John a marvelous Thanksgiving, Lori!
