Hunkering down and tail chasing

Well, all the buzz around here is Nemo and the havoc waiting to happen. They keep upping our snow totals.

That 18-24 box is just a hair from the border from us, too.  It better stay there. You keep hoping they are wrong and this will just kind of drift offshore, but doesn’t seem likely anymore. From weather.com:

The heaviest snow totals by early Sunday morning are expected in New England from coastal Maine to Connecticut, as well as the Adirondacks of Upstate New York (my home)!

Wahhh!!  I was saying to John that the coastal areas at least moderate some temperature wise and the snow melts. Our snow stays around!

I ran out of work before lunch and decided to take a 1 mile walk before lunch. It was cold today, too! 12 degrees and I think that was enough for me, especially with the breeze.  I had thought I might go out again later, but I’ll stick to the trainer, thank you.

On a fun note. You all know that I love Pixie dearly.  However, she doesn’t always seem like the brightest bulb out there.  She chases her tail every day pretty much and it just makes me laugh, especially when she catches it.  Here she was this morning romping around.  I love how she looks so annoyed at her tail πŸ˜€

Silly girl πŸ˜€

We are going out tonight to get some coffee before snow lockdown! Plus gas up the car. Thank goodness I work from home, although I don’t know how much work there will be if everyone cancels their appointments tomorrow.  Shovels are at the ready.

Stay safe Northeast peeps – and stay off the roads!!

Pixie is hilarious – she does look perturbed that that THING keeps following her! What a nut!

Hope you guys weather the storm well…sounds like it’s going to be insane!

Yes, stay inside safe and warm. Have a donut and some coffee!!

I’m having trouble with Adobe Flash, so I can’t watch Pixie’s video!

Pixie is so funny, I love it how our pets makes us smile at least once a day.

I feel for you with this heavy snow storm coming your way. I hope it turns out not to be that bad but stay safe. Will be thinking of you.

Stay safe and warm. Thinking of everyone in the north-east USA. Crazy weather everywhere – sort of suits the crazy Miss Pixie! At least she’ll keep you entertained if you are snowbound.

What, Pixie is not the brightest bulb on the block????

The video was very funny, it’s like she’s upset that thing is still there, and moving too.

Stay safe! We’re having more snow in Southern Finland but it’s very sedate. It’s pretty warm too!

Ugh, I hate snow. However, I’d almost rather get a TON all at once so everything is closed and I don’t have to drive anywhere. We’ve gotten just enough the last few days to make it scary driving everywhere but nothing is closed. I hate that. πŸ™

Pixie… if only we could all be amused so easily πŸ™‚

I know I can’t complain about our 8 inches when I see what’s headed your way – good idea to get the car gassed up, pick up extra groceries and hunker down!

You’re right about the coast warming up. We may end up with 2 feet of snow but TWC is already showing that we are going to be in the 40s by next week, which will mean melting. Still gotta get through the blizzard first though. I ended up not even going in to work – good thing because the Governor declared a State of Emergency and basically told employers they needed to close and let their people go home so he can close the roads if necessary.

I did the grocery/gas run yesterday during lunch – glad I did because by the time I left work yesterday every single gas station that I passed had lines and lines of vehicles!

    Lori,

πŸ™‚ I laughed so hard at sweet Pixie’s antics that I almost fell off the sofa. Woo-boy! πŸ™‚ Thanks for that.

You all are in my thoughts. Stay warm & safe.

    All my best,
    Molly

Hope the storm wasn’t as bad as predicted Lori. I was thinking of you and all my Northeastern blog buddies last night. Pixie! Hilarious. Neva does that too, and like you, we STILL laugh all the time. Take care!!!
