TGIF

Man am I glad it’s Friday.  So many annoyances this week and work was extra stressful this morning. Ugh.  At wits end Come on lottery numbers! Guess I better play if I am going to wish for that :  D

I decided on protein pancakes instead of waffles this morning. Just for something different.

My new mug that John brought back from Vegas for me.

He also bought me a couple other treats:

That is chocolate in the little box. All edible except the dice! I am still not so sure I would like Vegas. I get kind of funny feeling around exorbitant amounts of money spent and lots of consumerism. I can feel that way a bit when we are at Disney, but probably 10x more so in Vegas. John said there was sticker shock everywhere LOL. He had a good time and played lots of poker (and won, yay!).

After lunch, John and I did our Friday hooky – which we didn’t get to do last week because I had to take him to the airport. I love getting back to routine.

Trying to destress with the latte.  It’s pretty, too. Not sure why John was sitting there patiently as he was already eating his cookie!

I took a walk outside when we got back home. I was all excited because it was above freezing. 34 degrees, to be exact. However, I forget just because it is above freezing doesn’t mean it isn’t dark chilly for walking!  Phew.

We are looking to get some snow from Q this weekend.  Not sure if we are in the 3 to 6 or 6 to 12 inch range.  We will find out, I suppose.  Looks like 1-4 inches predicted now – yay Guess spring isn’t quite on the way yet.

We baked up clam strips for dinner. I love these.  We can only find them at Price Chopper, but we normally don’t shop there, so make a special trip and stock up once in a while.

I also had sauted brussel sprouts with it as well. I haven’t had those in ages. They kind of went on the list of “I don’t want to eat these for a while.”

Since I played hooky earlier, I have to work tonight for a while. Yeah, I know how to spend a Friday night, I tell you. At least I have the heated fleece and flannel jammies, so it isn’t so bad Tongue

We should put the last touches on the bathroom this weekend. Here is my sink –

It’s a composite countertop made to look like granite and I love it! I’m tired of plumbing, though. I fix one leak and then another one pops up. Fix that and the first one leaks again. So much tightening to do until it stops. At least there is something to do while it snows…

Hope Q gives you a break. I spent a lot of time removing the 11″ of snow it left me. I love that sink and countertop. Can’t wait to see the whole thing.

Ooh, the sink looks so nice – I love the faucet set you chose! Hopefully no more plumbing leaks…sounds like that got old, fast.

The Vegas mug is cute, and the nuts sound good! I’m the same way with sticker shock in Vegas – we used to go (drive over on a Friday evening after work back in the day) and it was a pretty cheap weekend, but no more. Hard to do that once you’ve gotten away with the cheap, you know?

To heck with the bathroom, I want to see a picture of these jammies!! Glad John is back safely. We spent three days in Vegas on one of our summer trips and that was quite enough. Way too crowded for me.

Hi Lori – crazy day here! 🙂 OK, those macadamia nuts would be crack to me! 🙂 I don’t like Vegas – too crowded & smoking everywhere – just not my thing… even with money I think I would not like it! 😉

YIKES on the snow – glad you got out before it came…

OK, looking forward to bathroom update…. 🙂

I would swear your bathroom countertop is the same as my kitchen countertops…….Do you know the name of it? Looking lovely my dear! And plumbing sure is a pain i have to agree! Stay warm! 62 here tomorrow!! Just sayin’ LOL! Hugs! deb

I like the sink…very nice. I love working in my pajamas too! Wish I could be home ore often to do that though. Have a good weekend!

I love the sink. Great shaper! I’ve never been to Vegas. I’m not a gambler, but I do think it would be fun to look and photograph every over the top hotel lobby. And if Barry Manilow happened to be playing? Well, I’d love to see him. How embarrassing, but true… 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend.

Glad to hear John made it home safe. I’ve been to Vegas once and it was fun to see it for real, especially since you’ve seen it so much on TV. But I have no desire to go back unless R. wants to take a California road trip (that I have done before), then we’ll visit it together but I don’t see that happening soon.
