Thoughts

The Boston Marathon is not just a Boston event. It’s not even just a US event.  It’s a world wide event with participants from all different countries.  I don’t understand what goes on in the minds of people who want to hurt others.  There is obviously some kind of disturbance there, but what makes that come to fruition is just beyond comprehension for me.

However, it does seem to me that the more these events happen, the more people are willing to come to aid at the scene and not just run away.  While it is disheartening to see tragedy, it also maybe gives you hope that  society isn’t all bad.

Thoughts to all the runners and their families throughout the world.

I don’t think we will ever understand the mindset of any individual who would willingly harm innocent people. It is so horrible that we are now becoming a society where even doing something that we love is a place that we become vulnerable.
Praise to the heroes for their courage and strength, but I wish they weren’t needed..

    Well said Lori!

I’m shocked at what happened, the running community is one of the friendliest in sports. If you are running a race and having a hard time, there’s always someone to cheer you up. It’s so sad that it happened at such a happy event. I can and never will understand why people do this to other people.

    I’m sad!

It felt so surreal to see the pictures of the very place we spent such an enjoyable day last summer. We actually went into the Fairmont Copley Hotel so likely walked on the very place the bomb exploded. We loved Boston and still do. So sad……..

I know exactly what you mean. The more photos I see online, the harder it is to even wrap my brain around what happened. So sad.
