What’s Blooming! Pssst…. it’s tulips!

It’s tulip time around Casa Radiance!!  Last week one tulip opened – now a lot of them.  These are all the early and mid season tulips.

Seeing these makes me SO HAPPY!!!

This is a double tulip.  It looks almost like a rose.  Monte Carlo:

When it’s sunny, these open way up like this.  They are very fragrant, too. I paired them with the Christmas Marvel:

Who says pink and yellow don’t go together??

Then the Pink Impression – these are very tall.

The fritillaria.  I really like these, but the bulbs are expensive and they are finicky.  3 planted, one came up.  Same as last year.  Not buying any more.  This plant was a big hit with the garden club that met at my house today.

More hyacinths opened up:

I planted alliums for the first time and they have sent up buds.  I can’t wait to see these (and show them to you)!

I did my tippy pot demonstration for the garden club.  It’s too early for the annuals to be ready for planting (other than pansies), so these are empty.  I have a set of plastic ones in the front and the terracotta ones on the side.

So cool!  I can’t wait until these are full of flowers.  I actually might take the pots off and paint them first.  ‘Cause I need another project…

No time this weekend, though.  Beautiful weather on tap and I feel a bike binge coming on!  😀

OMG – Love, love, LOVE!!! Tulips are one of my absolute favorite flowers and I am in love of your apricot ones. They are so cheerful and gorgeous. What a beautiful sight. If it were me, I’d have my nose stuck in them all day long!!! 🙂

Glad you like them! I do stand around and just smile at the garden a lot. Anyone driving by probably thinks I am a crazy person.

Your garden is so beautiful! I am horrible at planting “pretty things” because the veggie garden is so much work as it is. I did plant a bunch of marigolds in the beds with my kale and spinach because they are supposed to keep bad bugs away. We’ll see!

I would love a veggie garden, but I love flowers more and it was a choice of one or the other with the limited space we have.

Ahhh, I love the tulips – so bright, and they just scream (well, whisper – they’re dainty) Spring!

Your tipping pot project is cool! Can’t wait to see what you end up planting in it.

    Enjoy your bike-riding weekend!

Your tulips are gorgeous. I think they like your cooler weather. Are you going to show us how to make the tippy pots? Very cool!

I love the spring flowers and the tippy pots! We have a foot of snow yet on the ground after last week’s big storm. I will be waiting for instructions on how to do the pots. They will be fabulous with flowers in them!

I love tulips, because it’s like an encouragement that winter is not forever and spring IS on the way. 🙂 Yours are beautiful!

Oh, I am so jealous of your bulbs! Maybe someday, when I’m retired, I’ll have the patience and time to pursue that again.
