Kittens and nuts

I have to show you the most adorable photo!  Was at my sister’s house last night to visit their new kitten!  This is Phoenix:

He is a rag doll and a little bundle of energy!

He is so tiny and cute.  We get to babysit Phoenix in a few weeks as well when her family goes out of town for a week.  Look out Pixie 😀

Bagel Day!  It finally stopped raining – at least for a day – so that meant a breakfast ride.  Chilly and damp at 60 and felt more like early spring, but at least we were riding.

Warmed up with coffee and bagels (and paper reading).

Then it was home and right to work.  Work has been making me feel like this lately:

Know what I mean?  For the last couple months.  Ugh.  I am fortunate in a lot of ways with my job, but when you work for a company that is not well organized it can make for some bad times.  Hoping it gets better soon, but all I can do is do my job the best I can and hope other people do as well.

Lunch break!  Ground turkey on a tater.

It’s fresh blueberry season, too!  I have eaten 2 pints just this week.

I want Pixie’s life.  Sleeping all day.

Finally got the grill out for the first time this year.  Late, I know!  John grilled up a bunch of chicken so there will be some to eat this week.

I also make the mistake of getting these down from up high.

Notice I don’t show a portion size.  I dipped into this a *lot*.  One of those days.  I think these need to not be bought for a while.

More rain tomorrow.  Yay – not! I am glad we live on a hill and don’t get flooded out.  I feel bad for those that are.

The garden liked about 12 hours of the rain, but I think even the plants need a break.

Awww. CUTE kitten. And the nuts…well, you know me and nuts. I seem to be fine as long as I keep the walnuts in the refrigerator, and only put about 1/2 cup in the container in the cupboard. Weird, how the brain functions.

I’m having a turkey burger and sw. potato fries tonight! Kinda like your lunch. Oh, and I got the most wonderful sweet strawberries at the farmer’s market this afternoon. Tastes almost like candy!

I’ll take a little of your rain for a while! I’m already tired of watering…

What an adorable kitten. It’ll be interesting to see what Pixie thinks of him.

Hope things improve for you work-wise.

That kitty is SO cute! Oh my gosh! The meals look yummy too. We’ve gotten so much rain here lately and I’m sick of it. I know it’s good because we are often in a drought in the summer, but sheesh, I am sick of the gloomy days and my kids complaining.

The kitten is so cute. I never knew what a rag doll was till last week when a colleague of mine showed his two rag dolls. And although I’m not a cat person (except my weakness for Pixie and Neva) rag dolls are beautiful.

Often R. and I say to each other that we wish we would be Bella: sleep, eat, play with one of us, go for walks and repeat 🙂 What a good life our pets have.

What a sweetie kitty! He has such beautiful eyes. Pixie, however, will NOT be amused, I’m sure 🙂

My basil and petunias took a beating last night in the storms 🙁 Hope you guys dry out soon!

Such a cute kitten!!!!! Babysitting too – the cat whisperer will work her magic! 🙂

So sorry about work – man, I bet a lot of people feeling like you – that cartoon was too much – I feel that way about keeping up with the blog stuff a lot! 😉

I need some Pixie sleep & life! 😉

Wow that’s such a beautiful flower. I have buds on all my rose bushes now – can’t wait to see them bloom soon.

You may want Pixie’s life right now but I have a feeling it’s going to be turned upside down with the soon-to-come adorable houseguest. Watch out Pixie! 🙂 Then again, maybe they’ll become friends.

Aw, such a cute kitten!! Pixie better watch out! 😀 I am loving the blueberries I’ve been getting – had some over flax seed pancakes for breakfast – so good.

Sorry work is the way it is, but its a paycheck, right? Hang in there!

I miss having a bagel! I can’t remember the last time I had one. That was my go-to breakfast in college: bagel and cream cheese..oh and coffee (lots and lots of coffee)

That flower is GORGEOUS! Super cute kitten 🙂

OMG….Phoenix! SOOOO cute. (love the name!!) Pixie’s sleep may be interrupted in a couple of weeks, she won’t be amused! AWWW…they’re both lovely.
Sorry work is brutal right now Lori, hope things sort themselves out soon.

Eeee, I think I might have that kind of attack right now. I’m working on a project that is going so badly it’s almost ridiculous. The website I’m building just started auto-deleting the content. Huh?!

Phoenix is VERY adorable. I think watching kitty pictures might just prevent a mental meltdown today….

That is one super pretty kitty. Love those eyes!
You’re flower garden is going to be gorgeous this year.
We had 50 Northern Spruce planted and this rain has been
a life saver since we haven’t had to drag the hose out to the
outskirts of the garden to water all those trees.

What a darling little kitten, Pixie is probably not going to be too happy with the little vistor.

Like the keyboard cartoon, kind of gross but funny 🙂

The flowers in your garden are beautiful.

Is that a dahlia? Beautiful. A cute, frisky kitten is the best, right? I like to play with them and then go home to my kitten-free house 🙂 Kind of like babies…I like to play with them and then give them back to their moms 🙂
