Leavin’ John on a jet plane

John had those extra couple of days to recuperate and was feeling much better for flying.  So, off to the airport he went.  I dropped him off this afternoon.

Of course, this occurred right at latte time, so I had to stop on the way home for some sustenance.

Now I am left to my own devices until Wednesday night. Party at Casa Radiance!!  😀  Okay, who am I kidding? I am more likely to eat Nutella out of a jar for dinner while he is gone.

Pixie is just glad there is still a lap to be had here. As long as one of us is home.

I also need to plan my Broncos manicure for Sunday! Big game!!  I have these cool nail decals I bought, which I will be incorporating.

Sweet, aren’t they?  I hope that I need to use them all the way through the Superbowl!!!

So, to be honest here – I have to snap out of my exercise funk this year. The bike trainer is tiresome to me and it’s been too cold to get outside and my DVDs have been irritating me (you know how Leslie Sansone can get).  Of course, these are just excuses for not getting off my butt, but there you go.  Some of it is that I feel we are in a bit of a holding pattern before we move, which makes me want to do absolutely nothing – figure that one out. I will move this weekend, though, and a lot.  Just going to do it.

    Hi Lori.

I’ve been in an exercise funk too. In 2013 I had 3 ortho surgeries and have been going to PT since July. Sometime in December I just threw up my hands and said “Enuf!” Understandable but now I need to get back to it. I don’t want to but I’m not doing myself any favors by ignoring it.

Toby just walked across my keyboard, meowing. I think he’s trying to say “Hi Lori” … or maybe “feed me”. He’s a pretty boy – a mix of cinnamon & swirled fudge in french vanilla ice cream with a pattern like snake skin.

I hope you have a good weekend. Watch out for the Nutella!

Oh dear, I’ve been thinking about buying Leslie Sansone for the days when it’s even too cold in the garage…

Your line about the Nutella cracked me up. I’m a popcorn girl myself 😀

Try to enjoy your time – email or text me if you need someone to yell to get the spoon out of the Nutella!

We’ve just had such a long stretch of dry, relatively mild weather, that I am on an exercise Jag. I think it helps that I want to get out of the house more often with the construction going on. YOu’ll get your mojo back. Maybe you just needed to recuperate from TWENTY-FIVE HUNDRED MILES!!!

LOL; I own 3 Leslie Sansone workouts and I could do them eyes closed! I’ve gotten better now and am planning to start exercising again tomorrow. Great day. 🙂

    Pixie lovely, like always.

Oh boy, do I ever understand the “holding pattern” comment. I feel as if I’ve been in a holding pattern since last fall and yes, it is incredibly tough to break free from it. I have no wisdom as I’m still suffering from it and find myself counting the days until Bill is finished treatment completely and can start recovering. But one thing that has helped is the whole taking it one day at a time thing. Don’t focus on everything that is way out there, just do what you can do TODAY.

I hope you find plenty to do to keep busy while John is gone (I know you will!).
Sorry that you’ve been in an exercise funk – wish the weather were nice enough for you to get out and ride!!!
    Have a great weekend!

Cute decals Lori – I am sure we will see a pic when done! 🙂 Always love seeing Pixie too! 🙂

Glad John is better! Now hopefully you can find ways to motivate yourself this weekend – maybe packing up stuff.. 🙂 I hate the crowds here but I do like the weather.. 🙂

DD must have good coffee. There’s always a line at the one near my house and from my limited observation, it looks like it’s mostly cups being handed through the window. (I’d be more likely to be receiving a bag of something delicious. :))

Do you have some decluttering or other type projects that require lots of squats and reaching and such? I always feel like I get a good workout from those projects.

I don’t envy you moving but I’m with the ones saying maybe find something moving related that will still count as exercise 🙂 I get the nutella comment too, sure couldn’t have that stuff in the house, would be gone in a flash 🙂 Good luck with the move. Glad Pixie still has a lap to sit in, always love seeing her, I should definitely post more cat pictures myself 🙂

Thanks for the title of the blog, now I probably will be singing that song all day 🙂

I’m not in a funk but I found it hard to pick up exercising early in the morning in the dark last week. I only did something once. But I’m not stressing out about that anymore, it is what it is and this week will probably be better.

The reason I have so many workout DVD’s is because I get bored easily. Right now I have so many workouts I can do a year of new workouts. Most programs have more workouts on the DVD. And I couldn’t ride my bike indoors either, it’s boring.

No worries about it. Maybe when the weather is better you can walk everyday. If I’m correct you used to do that for a while last year or the year before? Walk 3 miles everyday? Walking is always good. An hour of walking is equal to 30 minutes of running.
