Santa’s Elves

A bit of randomness for a Thursday. Another quick ride today!  About 40 minutes.

It seems that will probably be the last ride until next week. It’s going to get colder and we might actually get snow on Saturday for the first time this season!

I got a nice surprise in the mail today. Well, I knew it was coming, but didn’t know how big it was! I did Alissa’s Thanksgiving 5K and won one of the drawings. This was the package that arrived today:

What a generous prize, too! Thanks Alissa! It’s like Christmas came early 😀

John won the football picks this week, so we headed out to dinner tonight. Pad thai with vegetables:

I almost always get curry when we eat thai food, so it was good to change things up.

Pixie is being good about not getting in the tree and just being under it, although sometimes she bites at the tree skirt – why I don’t know, but she’s a cat.

Getting into the holiday spirit! Remember the video last year of the family dinner? The pets are back as Santa’s elves this year!

Gotta love drone cat and the dog with the flask 😀

I can’t believe you’re still riding! Hopefully getting to do it so late in the year will make the whole “not riding over winter” seem more bearable.

That was quite a nice haul of goodies you won! How fun to get a package like that in the mail.

Loved that video. I even watched the making of video afterward – so cute.

It will make it easier, especially if we can get the bikes out in March. This year it was’nt until April, so the extended riding is nice.

It does feel good to ride. Not long rides because this weather seems to occur during the week or I am booked on the weekend – but any rides are good.

We’re getting that cold weather too but the warmth is coming back – forecast is for record breaking temperatures on Christmas Eve. I told Mr. Helen this morning I don’t ever remember going this far into December still wearing lighter running clothes. I will admit though that even with the warmer temps, I wish we had a bit more sun and less cloudy grey skies.

Have you ever had Drunken Noodles? I know you like a bit of spice and that is my very favorite Thai dish – so much better than Pad Thai!

We just started to get normal temps of the year – and not even that bad – lows in the 20’s – which isn’t too bad!

Hooray for getting so much bike riding in this winter!

Isn’t it great that you are still riding!!!??? Woo Hoo. And BIG woo hoo to winning Alissa’s draw! Pixie is very beautiful, and looks lovely under your tree! (Neva only gnaws or scratches it when she wants attention….sigh) Have a wonderful weekend Lori!!
