Keeping busy

It’s been busy around here.  John is out of town (coming back tonight), so I have been covering his business for him on top of my own work. Luckily it’s a bit slower work week for me.

Temps have fallen. May and June have had wild temperature swings, that’s for sure. We had overnight lows in the upper 40s last night. It was in the 50s when I rode this moring:

It was breezy, too. I didn’t think I would have this riding jacket out again until fall, but looks like it is back out for a few days.

I feel like Sandra Lee doing the semi-homemade stuff. I did thaw out some slow cooker chili the other day, but today I made soup:

Look – it’s vegetables!! 😀   This obviously isn’t filling enough for dinner, so I cooked up some tortellini and added it to my bowl.

That’s much more filling. This soup is pretty good, actually. I am not a huge fan of chunky soup, but this is not bad. It’s a good quick dinner. I wish I had some good crusty French bread to go with it, but I guess pretzels will have to do.

I finally upgraded my phone. John has been bugging me to upgrade my phone since I’m eligible on my plan and my windows phone has been having issues. Not to mention that I can’t do online banking with my phone. My bank doesn’t have an app for the windows phone. For 2 years I have been asking for it. How lame is that? So, I upgraded and my new phone got here today:

It’s not the newest, but my cheap self certainly is not going to pay for that 😀

If you hear screaming tonight, that’s probably me trying to transfer stuff from one operating system to another.

LOL on the screaming and transferring stuff. I started with an iPhone and I’ll stick with that so I don’t have to do something I cant figure out. Plus I have a Mac, so those get along together. ?

I like how you bulked up the tomato soup, but I can’t do chunky (cooked) tomatoes. Love them every other way, but not that for some reason.

I started with an iPhone with a 4S and seriously, it’s the best thing – I’m now onto a 6S and still love my phone and all that it does so much. I bet you’ll end up loving your new phone.

Please send your cool weather my way. We hit the 90s this week, with the “feels like” temps closer to 100 thanks to the high humidity. Too soon!!!

I love my iPhone! You’ll get used to it – if you can’t figure anything out, I always check out youtube videos – I am much more of a visual learner.

I love how Helen wrote “welcome to the dark side” on Facebook!

Nice phone! I am a Samsung Galaxy lover but R. switched to Iphone last year and he’s a fan. He is looking at that d*mn phone so much more than before 🙂 My bank has the possibility to do banking from my phone but I’ve always hesitated to use it. R. does use it though and says it works fine.

Hope John is home safe by now and you have your better half with you again.

Weather has changed here too. Lots of rain to be expected, really nice if you are going to an outdoor concert of Springsteen tomorrow, NOT!
