Jogging, eating clean

Okay, 2 days done of clean eating, and today clean so far, **editing here to take out the soft serve. Didn’t end up going!**

Caught myself starting to do the little mousie nibbles today. Twice, and I stopped myself. That really became a habit!!

So, the rest day on cardio really did me good. I had nice fresh legs for this morning.

Eating clean Day 2 and rest day!

Okay, so yesterday I ate clean and I feel fantastic today! It’s amazing how the same amount of calories, but just as different types of food can make you feel.

On to Day 2! My goal is to get through at least Friday eating clean. For me, a big part of clean eating is to get rid of the nibbles. You know, those little bites and tastes of things. Grabbing a couple crackers off of DH’s plate. Eating 5 chocolate chips. Pouring granola and eating a chunk out of the container. Those little things that don’t quite make it into TDP. We call those “little mousie nibbles” around here.

So, today is cardio rest day. Must…be….strong….so…. hard…. to… sit… still…

For activity, I will be doing my upper body strength training workout and then about 30 minutes of pilates.

My legs better reward me with a good run tomorrow!

Eating clean. My promise.

I am going to eat the cleanest I possibly can this week. This blog is going to hold me accountable! I hereby promise that this week will be clean and focused!
The scale shows a gain from over the weekend, despite all the biking. I have decided that tomorrow I am going no cardio, since I have worked it hard for about a week straight now. Must take a rest day on my legs; it is so hard to do that!

Had a good jog today, although my legs were complaining pretty hard for the first 1/4 mile. That is what made me decide to give them a break tomorrow (wimps!!!).

Ate clean today!

Well, I ate totally clean today. For some reason, that phrase makes DH laugh. I actually got in a good amount of protein today:
Carbs 165, 24 grams of fiber, 43 g of fat, 110 g protein. 1417 calories.

The oopsie rolls were interesting, I have to say. Kind of like a croissant/souffle cross. They didn’t taste egg-y, which I thought they might. Sliced one in half and had a tuna sandwich with it. It was good, although fragile. I think overnight in the fridge will help them hold up better. There are tons of possibilities for these, so they are definitely in my repertoire now! They would be great for french toast, or to layer in a dessert parfait type of thing, or sprinkled with cheese before baking, etc.

I decreased my time running today. Got 3 miles down to 39 minutes and 30 seconds. Broke the 40 minute mark! I am just going to plug away at decreasing time by keeping my heart rate at 155 or above. My theory is that in doing so I will have to keep pushing the pace the more adapted I am to running, which should therefore reduce my time. If I had a treadmill, I would just increase the speed on that and force it, but alas, I don’t own one 🙂

About 2 more days of super hectic-ness and things might get back to some sense of normalcy.
