It’s official!

In my email box:

EEEEK!!! No turning back now!

A little light reading

Today is my Saturday, and after having an awesome workout at the Y, I stopped at the library. I have this book to read tonight!

I did all 3 things today – swimming, jogging and biking!
I am going to focus less on the scale and more on the training.

I ended up getting out 6 books today. I can’t decide on which one to read first! Does that ever happen to you? I said to John that I wished I had 10 pairs of eyes to read all of them at once. 🙂

Back to plan

I keep looking over my pictures from the trip. Especially since it was -12 degrees when I got up this morning!! No outside jogging, that’s for sure!

As much as I enjoyed all that food, it is comforting to get back to my normal foods. Also need to shed some water and pounds LOL! No regrets at all on what I ate. That’s part of living life, and being able to get right back on track is what is going to allow me to keep this weight off for the rest of my life. I’m a little surprised at how easily I get back on track when I indulge. Maybe I shouldn’t be, I don’t know…

Down to business, I am looking at triathlon training programs. Depending on when I sign up for one, there will be 3 months of training. I’m getting pretty excited about that.

Great on plan day

Well, I am post happy today! Not terribly busy today, so I can play! Food totally on plan, and I got in all my exercise today.

I have found my calories creeping up to around 1500 per day, and I am still losing, so that makes me pretty happy, although I have to be careful not to creep up too high. I don’t care if the losses are slow, I would rather eat more. I don’t know if that is sad or not, but being hungry always leads to bingeing for me. That’s why it is important for me to eat every few hours. If I get really hungry – I call that ‘falling off the cliff’, and at the bottom of the cliff is usually a pile of donuts or some other mound of food.

So, I have been searching for a triathlon to do next year. And, I need to plan how to train for it. I will likely need a membership to the Y or a gym with a pool. So, I need to poke around for that as well. Still not sure about the gym membership. I hate spending the gas to go workout. I might be able to bike to the Y now, but certainly not in the winter. Although, I might wait on the membership until 4-5 months before the tri. I’ve got time.

Having thoughts

about doing a triathlon next year! I must be totally insane. Not an Iron Woman one or anything, but one of the poser ones that is a 1/2 mile swim, 20 mile bike ride and 5K.

The only thing I can’t do currently is the swim. No place to practice, so I have to figure out what would work without getting a gym membership.

So, maybe that will be my crazy ass goal for next summer?? I’m scared to actually be thinking about it!!
