Hey there!

Almost 2/3 done with February – wow! Time just keeps speeding up. I’m really noticing the longer days now. It’s so nice to not have it dark at 5 pm anymore.

It’s still pretty snowy around here. John’s favorite line is “I hate winter”, followed closely by “Did I mention I’m sick of winter yet?”

This year I have a pact to myself to get all kinds of health tests done, being 50 and all. First up was the eye exam.

I have astigmatism, which has gotten worse to the point where now I am going with the toric contact lenses. They do make quite a difference, I have to say. More expensive, but then everything seems more expensive when you get older…

Planet Fitness has been happening about 3 times per week for full body workouts. Plus some cardio:

The stationary bikes just don’t cut it. I miss my outdoor biking!

I’m doing a wholesale buyers show starting on Monday, so there has been a ton of prep for that for my jewelry on top of filling existing orders. I am doing cash and carry, as well as taking orders, which has meant ramping up production on that. It’s my first time at this venue, but I have talked with other vendors who have done it and said it was good. Fingers crossed. I’m debuting a new product – pins:

It will be a mini vacation for John. He is coming with me since the event is being held at a casino and he can entertain himself there and bring me food and such during the day 😀

On a fun note, my sister and I were out in terrible weather on Monday for a rally on president’s day. It was a very small rally, but did have a special “chicken” in attendance.

Much to my immense surprise, our little town got mentioned on Rachel Maddow’s show that night! We got on TV. You can barely see me being the shortie I am, but still fun nonetheless! You can view the video below if you wish. It’s about 2-1/2 minutes long and Glens Falls is mentioned halfway in – ish.

We were so cold, though. It was yucky weather and we were snowed on:

The reward afterwards was some hot coffee!

I had a chill for the entire day after that. Once I get chilled, it pretty much stays until I get into bed. Pixie tried to help warm me up:

I think she knows how lucky she got when we took her in 11 years ago 😀

Busy as always, but I’m glad you are making time for yourself with going to the gym, and heck yes, the march!

The wholesale show will be an interesting experience – I hope it goes well for you and you don’t have to bring home any merchandise…and you bring home lots of orders.

Pixie is cute as ever. 🙂

I’ve done two wholesale shows (or the same one two years in a row), but it was for artisans and this one is a gift show. I really don’t know what to expect. I don’t care if I come home with stuff as long as I have orders to fill when I get back. 😀

I feel for you guys further north – you’ve had quite the snow this year. We have had nearly a snowless winter and I am happy about that. I told Bobby if it would stay like this year every I wouldn’t keep talking about moving south.

Did you see the news about the guy doing yoga completely naked at some Planet Fitness. When the police came to arrest him he said they advertise it as a no judgement zone lol.

Good luck with your show! I need to get on your site and see what you have – my Jenn loves pins.

No judgement zone doesn’t mean no clothing- derp.
It’s been a hard winter up here. Lots of snow, but no melting. Ugh. If it were sunnier it wouldn’t be so bad, but it is what it is 😀

I didn’t launch the pins up on my site just yet, but I do have a lot of them on Amazon.

I’m laughing at your comment, everything costs more as you get older. Wait until you’re even older. You’ll discover that glasses are a great “camouflage” for the wrinkles under your eyes 🙂 And sometimes things cost less, because you get a senior discount, and because finally big things are paid off.
